How about a “This day in Automotive History” or something similar? I’m sure there are a bunch of automotive records, historical racing news, and other trivia which would make a good piece of content, and since you know the dates far in advance you can always be researching a good item?

Duct tape and Kapton tape are quite different. Duct tape is cloth-back or otherwise reinforced, and Kapton tape was developed to be highly resistant to heat (and does not contain any reinforcement fibers). They were developed for different purposes.

I have several M42 lenses that I use with my digital Fuji via an adapter. There’s something really satisfying about nailing the focus with an old manual lens, and the equivalent lengths and focal stops would be cost-prohibitive in a modern, electronic lens. I have several old Russian and Japanese lenses (my favorites

Hear nothing? That’s the sloth-speed “whooshing” noise passing over your head... </sarcasm>

We’re talking about sloths... it’s entirely possible that they were just too slow to get out of the way of the dirt that eventually covered them up...
