Infinite Jest one-ups that with a self-inflicted microwaved head :)

According to IMDB, Sheriff Truman and Lara Flynn Boyle are coming back as well! I guess that's not official, but it's something to hope for.
Dana Ashbrook aged WELL! Nice going man.
Wait, was Awn definitely a girl? I pictured her being a man.
Oh definitely — I think this is usually how it plays out. Most fictional time travelers start with no idea what the rules are going to be. (as opposed to factual time travelers, who really know their shit. That's why we never see them...lol).
I remember that, it was a good rant! :)
I definitely get where you're coming from, and I agree that the rules need to suit the storytelling.
When I think of examples of unchanging timelines — LOST, Timecrimes, All You Zombies, the 12 Monkeys film — I don't find these repetitive, and I think characters' choices can shape…
Plus the TV show understandably ditches the notion that you can't change the past
That is brilliant!
Well, maybe I am giving them too much credit, but it does at least let us reach a stalemate less painfully.
I've reached the point where any time I find myself in a debate about feminism, my first comment is "let's first clarify the definition of feminism". Usually this makes the debate go much easier when they realize that a feminist's definition of feminism is totally different from their definition.
To me it seemed not so much the brightness as the contrast was really low. I wonder if that would get hard to watch after a while?
I saw that too - I can't believe I can't find it again. Totally expected i09 to pick that theory up.
Okay, I'm actually still in the middle of this beast. But it's definitely a paradigm-shift kind of book.
So, the Ant-Man movie is going to take place in the present day, right? I don't know where I got this, but for some reason I had previously thought it was going to take place in the 1970s.
I like how the trailer kept flashing "John 11" like it's some kind of clue. I'm pretty sure the bible story did not involve Lazarus gaining evil telekinetic powers.
I know that generally, Go-Bots were a joke...but I loved this guy. He was my go-to weapon throughout childhood. I still think he's got a kind of cheesy-cool look about him, design-wise.
I wonder why we haven't heard any more about Darren Aranofsky's adaptation of the MaddAddam trilogy. Is that still happening?
Bruce Banner was Spider Man? What?
That's the only episode I've seen, and I'm still working up the courage for another one!
The pig episode is the only one I've seen so far...unsettling is definitely the right word! I might actually be relieved if the rest are tamer than that.
