Oh man, I hope the next person to rent that truck doesn’t skip on the optional coverage.
More than $500 per quarter at UW Seattle. I ended up riding the bus instead.
Late to the party, but I’d like to submit my 1988 Jetta with 89hp and a 3-speed automatic. Despite the lack of power it was still a joy to drive through the twisties.
Can confirm. I’m 6'2" and fit great in my G60 Corrado with headroom to spare ( not a lot, but some).
Growing up in the Colorado high-country, it was surprising how often you heard someone say:
And yeah, I really DO think...
Also the chicken tax.
60% of this model is 100% new
Nope, that’s what happens when you live life on the EDGE
100% correct. ND at ANY price [emphasis added is my own, but probably everyone else’s too].
I’m all for switches, buttons, knobs, sliders, and other tactile controls, but here? No. Let me rephrase that, GOD NO. I don’t know why domestic automakers could never figure out how to make buttons and switches not look like terrible, clunky, half-assed implementations. Personally, I think Chevy/GM are the worst, but…
late to the party, but how about the Merkur XR4Ti? I always thought they were kinda ugly, but also kinda good looking. Very 80's Saab-esque in that regard, always seemed like a cheap “American” knock-off of a 900 SPG. I don’t know if they were actually any good though...
Yes! Oh man the SVX. I remember seeing/sitting in one in a dealership in Denver in like 95/96 or so. My parents were buying a Kia Sephia at the time. The SVX was a luxo-spaceship in comparison. A testament to engineering and technology. Don’t even get me started on the windows. Got to drive one like 15 years later and…
Gorgeous car. Always wanted one. Last time I was in the market, bought an R56 Clubman instead. Terrible mistake. Shoulda waited for the right C30.
I have a Corrado. It’s currently sitting forgotten in the garage. Now I kinda hate myself...
eh, must be one of those wing-a-ling dragons...
If I had to read 38 TPS reports everyday, my head would explode. Am I the only one who at first I thought it was the written-type of report, not direct reports?
Crappy management or not, they sure were some classy looking cars. The original C8 Spyder was a work of art.
I remember being so impressed with the graphics of that game back in the day. Oh, and aircraft brakes. Every car got upgraded with aircraft brakes, because it sounded so cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
