You should see me on the literal floor right now LMAO with that last caption. Did I write that? Is she me? And how do people DO everything?

Menopause killed me in this regard. I used to sleep so cozily under my eight blankets since I ran so cold. Now my body temperature just zigzags like a locamotive. It’s a good morning when I don’t wake up with all of the blankets thrown off the bed. I do not know how people with a partner make it through this cycle.

My building doesn’t compost. :( :( :( My last apartment complex did, and I loved that. This said, I don’t own a garbage can. I just throw everything into the shopping bag. I clean and dry it all so that nothing liquid goes in, and there are odd food scraps but not too many if I’m careful.....

Are you looking for a roommate? ;) That’s wonderful!

Dust? :)

As do I! Which is the reason I should be cleaning more and not just squirming in the discomfort. Thank you for this.

No question. The article I read got it totally wrong, and I apologise for crediting it.

Thank you, and your message is very kind. I hope things improve for you. A friend of mine used to take a Xanax before cleaning; I don’t believe you are alone. You’re onto something!

Perhaps also going from a house to an apartment made everything seem more manageable. Putting things into perspective always helps. Cleaning looms large over me because I make it so. :)

It isn’t weird. It makes perfect sense! It’s a combination, I think, of having something tangibly finished, the physical exercise, and the satisfaction of a clean floor. One factor in motivating myself is using essential oils. The place smells heavenly, thereafter! Thank you for this. ♡

Isn’t that amazing? The brain is ever-mysterious: as in persons suffering epileptic attacks (Dostoevsky, included, I think?) who were also prone to mystical visions. Oliver Sacks wrote once about curing a mathematician of his migraines — after which the patient could no longer handle advanced mathematics. Dr. Sacks

This is a really good idea, thank you. Because once dinner is eaten, it is all over, right? I don’t much eat during the day — coffee with milk takes care of me until I go home, and so I do generally eat, first thing. But it is only habit; it isn’t as though I am ravenous. And so delaying for twenty minutes (maybe

Oh my gosh, all of the stay-home mothers I know thought it was far more demanding than the office, and those who could return to their jobs did. Having the break was essential. You are doing amazing work and if we lived in a country with any justice at all, homemakers — male and female — would be paid for their

That’s amazing. I do not think that I have ever washed my actual pillows. I have heard of washing walls but I am unsure as to how to do it, especially at my height. Definitely aspirational.

I am so sorry for your loss. Take good care of you.

Yes! Even if there is one area that is clean, it is a victory!

Thank you for this. It is such wonderful advice, and I appreciate your concerned tone! I guess that I clean on weekends because I come home from work fairly drained; it would be difficult to clean on the evenings after work. I still go to an office and commute home — this hasn’t changed for me during the pandemic —

It’s great advice, absolutely. I am pretty minimalist but endeavor to be more so. And it helps a lot. I do regularly purge and let go of that which I no longer need and I have flirted with the idea of a uniform (say a couple of pairs of black yoga pants, a few black shirts and various colored scarves) and/or the three

Yippee! How are you feeling, today?

Good luck! And congratulations! This may be a complete placebo but I made sure I was hydrated before the vaccination; and generally do eat foods that are slight blood thinners (garlic, ginger, etc.)..... I’m happy for you! The relief is immense! ♡
