I have heard tell they are always the answer.

A Harris VP is a slap in the face to the progressive wing of the party.

The protest I was at Saturday in Portland, which involved no rioting or violence ended being dispersed by flash bang grenades and police in riot gear. No matter how many cops you see kneeling or hugging protesters, American policing exists to harass, maim and detain people they see as undesirable.

shaka, when the walls fell.

If Joe Biden’s a Democrat, I’m not one. He’s a sort-of-pro-choice Republican that black voters are delusional enough to think is on their team.

I predict it is the hardened 25% who will never vote Democrat and who honestly spend more time hating any US ethnic minority than they spend time trying to improve their own lives.

The cynic in me sees this as a move to up-hold the status quo. To me any Republican defection should be viewed through the lens of maintaining the status quo. And I don’t mean restoring norms of politics and governance. But of the institutions (police, military), corporatism and the military-industrial complex.

Another particularly alarming trend is the use of crowds of protesters to attack vehicles. No mention of presumably innocent drivers being beaten nearly to death on Minnesota Interstate Highways.

No mention of what crimes this person was being pursued for. Murder? Arson? Rape? Jay-walking? What?

The spokesperson added that it would also be taking action against related terms like “Big Igloo” or “Big Luau,” the news agency wrote.

They have “no place” in the Republican Party for the same reason I have “no place” in my house for new kitchen gadgets; all the available space is full of the shit I already have.

I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White

Until good cops hold bad cops accountable (and, in general, they do not), then yeah, they’re all complicit.

It is long past time for there to be a thorough evaluation of law enforcement. All too often problem officers who should have been fired long ago are protected by other cops until some tragedy happens.

Ok, so by that logic, think about what you might do for a living. Let’s say your co-worker steals, and they fire you just for working at the same place. Makes no sense.”

Sorry let me clear that up. All law enforcement employees in the United States are full on garbage. I don’t need to point out the atrocities committed by the “bad” or “worse than usual” ones. But it should be pointed out how even the “good” ones wont step up and do a thing to root out the evil.

So when are the good cops going to show up and arrest the bad cops?

There are bad cops for sure, but saying “U.S. Police” is too broad.
