...cross stitch. The pattern costs about $20NZD (maybe $13 ish US?) then there’s the fabric and yarns and framing is the big one - but all up it’s probably not an expensive way to have something beautiful in my house.

Keeping to your own kind
I was talking to my 6-year old about her friends at school. She said she spends a lot of time with Ben. I was under the impression Ben didn’t have a lot of friends: He is a bit awkward, he wears thick glasses, he’s a bit kooky and he lived in another country until a year or so ago so he has a strong accent.
