I’ve never been a big poster but now I’m more of a lurker than a commenter, even.  I just have a LOT going on (graduating with my MLIS in 2.5 semesters!) and it’s easier to scroll through Facebook groups when I need a mental break.  But GT used to be a big big part of my online life so I make sure to come back and

That’s the worst, my body does the same thing any time I have an alarm set.  Even if it’s not set for an early wakeup, I still end up waking up multiple times to check the alarm.

I’m wondering if I should have stayed home - I was feeling like I had a cold coming on last night and dosed myself with some nighttime cough/headache/sore throat medicine and I still feel a little loopy and sleepy (it was my office buddy’s turn to drive carpool btw in case you were worried). But staying home never

I loved Ancillary Justice so much!  I need to read the other two in the series.

Oh, I almost just ordered that for one of my libraries but it didn’t make the cut, kind of glad now!

Is this by Mary Robinette Kowall?  It sounds like something I read about recently.

Just finished “The Lost Book of the Grail” which is a decent, pretty quick mystery read for medieval history/manuscript nerds. I just grabbed “Full Dark House”, a mystery set during the London Blitz, to read on my lunch break but realized that although it’s the first story chronologically in the series, it’s actually

I wondered about the blue porch ceilings when I first moved to the South and was told that it deters wasps buildings nests as they get confused and think it’s the sky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same, I was struggling to think of a superstition to add to the comments but I totally wouldn’t do the Bloody Mary thing without a lot of inducement.

Yeah, it’s not perty for sure.  I have a pretty strong stomach for body/illness ick but pustules are a little beyond the pale for me.

I’m good! Thank you for manifesting me. I’m still about 2.5 semesters shy of finishing this library science degree so when I do have rare free time I’ve been gravitating towards facebook groups for some mindless scrolling instead of the longer attention span I need to engage in GT, but I do miss it. Thanks for keeping

I’m reading The Essex Serpent and The Pearl Thief - big F I N A L L Y on both.  My to-read list is ridiculous but that’s my life.  I finished “To Ruin A Queen”, a Tudor-era mystery by Fiona Buckley, not long ago.  It’s an enjoyable series but the romantic will-she-won’t-she is getting a bit tiresome and I am looking

Wow, I would be so angry. Fair enough if he doesn’t want to participate in gifting - I get feeling that the holidays are too commercial and my family is pretty restrained on gifting - but that’s what “Hey, I’m going to make a run to the store/get started on the dishes/take a quick nap/plunder the leftovers while you

My grad school semester ended almost a week ago but I’m just now digging out from under the disorientation of not having something else I should be doing at literally every moment. I am getting SO MUCH pleasure reading done!  It’s great.  One more year!
