Also, the fact that thanks to reality shows/the internet we can see behind the curtain and realize the people telling us what to wear, eat, listen to, etc. are not some ultra-cool clique; they are just the same as everyone else. Before all this nonsense, there was at least an aura of the magazines being the only way

(Oh btw the wedding is at a WAFFLE HOUSE in Northern Ga. The bride & groom work there.)

My recently engaged friend came across this gem of a wedding. It has a slide show and sound, and is completely hilarious.

I think this is just a larger trend...got this article sent to me from [concierge.com] (the website for Conde Nast Traveller)

Ah, the old "deviated septum" trick again. Nicely done. And yeah, I have "pockets" on my stomach, and yeah, no matter what I do, they don't go away. But thousands of dollars on lipo? No thanks.

@dorsia: Word. Thanks for writing all of that for me. It's all about maintenance for a (hopefully) long life.

Denial is the worst. I found out in 5th grade that I had been missing out on Pop-Tarts and Lucky Charms (I would force my friends to invite me to sleepovers so I could have the junky cereal and cable TV). Man! I was so mad.

I've never been big per se, but coming from a family where all the women on my mom's side are very petite/shrinking from osteoperosis and the ones on my dad's side are nice Eastern European stock, I have had my fair share of hurtful comments from my mom. I try my best but I fluctuate depending on my work schedule

So, when is Contempo Casuals reopening? About time for a comeback, I'd say.

I accidentally found a Harold Robbins book of my moms, and it was all over for me from a sex scenes perspective. Some freaky shyte in those books - for a Catholic 10 year old!

Loved, loved this mini-series to the point where my mom made Alice's orange dress for Halloween. Watched it until the VHS wore out. Hope it is avail. on DVD. Didn't know who most of the famous people were at 7 (Ringo Starr as the mock turtle? Only now do I get that one) but loved all the same.

Affordable? $128 simple black pants from BR is affordable? Back in 2002 they were $68. I am not sure about the veracity of this "affordability" comment.

My experience has been that if you have an extra-special talent or two in your younger years, you focus in on that so much that some of the social graces are never learned, and that starts the downward spiral...I will never forget the amazingly talented artist/band geek who creepily left (very lovely) drawings of me

I always assumed that *some* of the stuff that happened to her friends was sacred from the column...otherwise I can't imagine Charlotte being friends with her, or even Miranda. Towards the end of the show we learn more about Carrie and Samantha's relationship. I never understood how Charlotte fell into the mix in a

@LadyNo Fondles Sweaters: I'm glad you mentioned that cause it bothered me too. Heaven forbid these ladies go out. As long as they are taking cabs and not making utter fools of themselves, who cares? Let the ladies take a break! Also probably "drunk" to that mother means "slightly buzzed and having a good time" to the

"Or would Americans rather not see the crotch of an Academy Award-nominated, Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actress on their magazine covers?"

Thought first rule of fashion was that shorts must not be shorter than the pocket lining? Or is this the English version of Dukes of Hazzard-fashion?

@BDJ-Team feat. Panda T: I went to Wake Forest and I still don't understand how you can be a "Lady Deac".

As native of Connecticut, it is ingrained (since the early 90s) to HATE Pat Summit and the Lady Vols. UConn/Tennessee was the first real rivalry in women's basketball. As such I can't find anything nice to say, just because she is a woman I don't think she is a good role model. She is brusque and classless. Sorry to
