No midseason will ever be as good as last year’s when they killed off that woman and her two obnoxious sons. It was like opening presents on Christmas morning.

Phillip K Dick endorses this comment

In a sense, isn’t rooting for chaos only to see entropy defeated its own form of chaos?

Janitors not looking like winners tonight either.

Damn man, I can’t think of a single bad thing I’ve ever heard about this guy.

Well said. Can’t help but feel bad for her, having to break news like this twice now.

In the Navy, we dealt with something similar. Before the internet/email, etc, when something bad would happen back home, the Red Cross would send the message to the ship. The Radiomen/IT’s on the ship would always see the message

She is one of a very small handful of personalities at ESPN that can handle something like this. And unlike Scott, which ESPN was preparing for, this one was a shock it seems. Hannah handled this as well as anyone possibly could have.

That was heartbreaking to watch. Part of me wishes she didn’t have to sit there and announce that, because the pain is just overwhelming to see... and of course, part of me is glad that if anyone had to do it, it’s someone who clearly cared a great deal for Saunders on a personal level rather than some random talking

No snark, Hannah Storm handles these unfortunate and unenviable reports with aplomb, striking just the right balance of professionalism and humanism.

This is awful news. John Saunders was great at his job.
