The drivers here in Maryland don’t need cell phones or booze to be terrible. I have a 12 mile commute each way and on an average day people try to merge into me around 4 times.

Weird...my old 2004 WRX averaged about 24 mpg commuting (mid 30s highway). My 2017 is even better...

I get ~25 mpg in my 2017 WRX (manual) in stop and go Maryland commuter traffic.

It’s a hair under 45 rods.

My neighbors cleared all the tall grass/underbrush out of their back yard last year and suddenly my cats were catching 3-4 mice a week in our house (3-4 more mice than normal).

I messed up my shoulder a few years ago and lost use of it for over a year. You’d be surprised how quickly you learn to use your off hand when you don’t have a choice.

This is how a serial killer folds socks...

A lifetime NRA membership costs around 1500 bucks (or 25/month). That’s a pretty big initial cash outlay just to get some discounts.

I grew up in Vermont and was familiar with Grinder but my parents were from Connecticut.

Doesn’t seem any worse than the Phillips Wake-Up lights you always see pop up on this network (they have no battery backup so if you lose power no alarm for you).

Other than the Marines the US branches of the military change their uniforms all the time. Using the Air Force as in example: In the last 23 years (give or take) it replaced it’s blues/dress uniform once (and changed the rules around ribbons/insignia repeatedly). It completely changed how rank insignia and other

This one is (was recently?) still often a thing (for men and women). I wanted to get a vasectomy back in 2005 and they required my wife’s permission for it...then they refused because “I was young (30) and might change my mind”.

Both my Mazda3 and my WRX have them.

This has been pretty much every delivery I’ve had from Amazon Logistics for the past 6 months. Everything is dropped off the day after it’s marked out for delivery. The only question is on the next day do they drop it at my house or the house across the street...
