Yeah just don’t overdo it! Editing is great but try not to max out any single slider. Have fun with it!

Thanks! This is a composite made of I think 7 or 8 different exposures and make everything play nice in photoshop. I used one Flashpoint Xplor 600 with a bare bulb to create both of these. The light emanating from behind the car was just two strobe pops low and behind the car to get the drama.

I used to use a Nikon D810 for work and I loved it. My general rule is to invest in good glass before upgrading bodies.
Just get her a used basic DSLR off CL. As others have mentioned, she will need the ability to manually control the shutter and aperture to actually learn anything.
Not that big of a deal for someone like Mata who works from home and only really stretches the 911s legs on early mornings and evenings.
