Can confirm. I have one of the previous generation 3's with the touchscreen. I never use it. The commander knob is far superior.

I’m spoiled by the Mazda infotainment commander knob. Every time I drive another car without it, I’m pissed off if I have to reach up to the center stack or somewhere on the dash in order to do anything. The placement of it is dead on perfect. I’ve honestly never used the touch screen capabilities in mine.
