Mine was the original THE FLY, from 1958. Years before ARACHNOPHOBIA, I caught this one at well too young an age, and I got the condition the film is named after from that, thanks to the last scene. (Credits to the film makers for doing so effective a job with that, but GEEEZE!)
So far, acclimation therapy has helped,…
It actually kinda doesn’t; copies of the film sent out for TV removed the scene. The home video versions still have it, for some reason, but that counts a little...
People leaving the South to head to Canada? Sounds like this might have had a hand in the inspiration, as well...
Betty was dismantling a bomb, handling a hostage crisis, ordering FBI agents to “stand down,” and helping her and her mom escape their bonds before they could get strapped to a school bus about to drive off a cliff.
I’d assume, but lately it’s been harder to find them. Maybe the assumption that with Google and Rotten Tomatoes folks can get all that data in their hands made them think, “Y’know, I could save a few thousand dollars on my electric bill if I get rid of that thing”...
Are there even “marquees” anymore? Lately in New York, we’ve gone by theaters that don’t have them over the front door like they used to, both newer ones and older theaters that got retrofits.
Is anybody else noticing this, too?
Y’know, if I get this set, I’m going to have to get three minifigs to go with it: Two children and a witch...
Any insight why SCREAM, BLACULA, SCREAM didn’t make the cut? It’s a very underrated film, with William Marshall doing an even job with the character than he had with the first one. Plus, Pam Grier as a voodoo savant; what’s not to like...?
Put them all in a cage and let only one winner emerge, I say. Charlie Kirk v. Chris Cillizza v. David Frum (refereed by Clay Aiken) will be the second-tier brawl, obviously. Place your bets now!
Because, yeah, this *should* go here...
Collider reports Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton have joined the cast of Christopher Landon’s allegedly never-been-done-before new project...
I actually tried running this in college.
I’m glad we’re looking at his other SF stuff.
And only the SF stuff, because I have no idea how to reconcile this, his only theatrical film screenplay, with the rest of his outre...
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for you...
Something tells me that this would probably be enjoyed here...
What, you think you can do that without a response?
Oh yeah, we’re resorting to having *this* sit here...
re: ZOMBIE TIDAL WAVE
The trailer asks, “What took so long to come up with this?”
My guess, is that good taste in our society put up a brave fight before finally giving in...
However, they’re also not afraid to point out holes in logic they skip, such as Cap being so good with the hammer so quickly, or that they have no idea what happened when he reunited with Red Skull off-screen on Vormir.
I read about the ‘20-foot pig,’ and I gotta admit, that I’m a little bit confused...
...sometimes it seems to me as if I’m just being used...
