I know, sometimes I just like the feel of plugging my old dot matrix printer into a good ol’ fashion parallel port. USB killed that port along with serial, SCSI, PS/2 (mostly), etc. Now USB type A is being killed off for USB-C.

Apparently it wasn’t stupid enough to scare off buyers based on iPhone sales for the last quarters... Good or bad, Apple has now created a successful path for the removal of the port for other makers.
6 hours is nuts. The last new car we bought, I told them I had to be back at work in 1.5 hours so they had one hour to get it done. Negotiated the price, went for a quick test drive, and they had the paperwork ready when I got back.
“Still, Honda said that all Si Civics will supposedly come exclusively in a manual.”. Except in America where we will get a CVT, because performance...
There is a difference between having a vehicle with systems designed to force the driver to be actively participating vs. just having a warning label saying you are still responsible for driving the vehicle and being aware. Owners keep trying to use these systems beyond their design envelope, and at least Tesla,…
Its painful until its ubiquitous and everyone forgets and moves on. Just like parallel ports, SCSI ports, serial ports before, there is always a transition time, it sucks, and then it’s over. For the bitching about having to throw away your old headphones, the adapter is cheap... Even APPLES’ version is only $9.
You weren’t forced into oncoming traffic, you tried to pass when it wasn’t safe... I’m a car guy and cyclist, and I defer to the person on the bike. At the end of the day, the car will always win in an accident. In your situation, how much time would it have cost you to wait till it was safe to pass, 30 seconds, maybe…
$34/class @ 3 classes/week pays for a very nice road bike, shoes, helmet, trainer (so you can ride indoors, in your climate controlled home, listening to your own playlist, on a bike actually fits properly)... That said, I don’t judge anyone that is out there trying to be healthy, just not my cup of tea. (Don’t judge…
Hahaha, I was going to post the same thing... Seeing comments about him being down to earth and humble were the polar opposite from most of the CJ interviews/clips from his past. Maybe he is older and wiser now??
Is it just me or does that actually seem cheap. Tesla model S 90D = $90k but this thing has nearly 4x the battery capacity, 3x the motors, a gas turbine, and all the other cost of a class 8 truck.
I love it, I’m in Texas and during the summer I use the vent function constantly. If the car is parked in the shade having that vent probably lowers the inside temp 30*...
The battery pack limit is nothing shocking. Many vehicles are sold with crippled features through software even though the hardware is the same regardless of options selected at purchase.
I came so close to owning a 6spd CTS-V Wagon, luckily??? The dealer had a deposit on it from a Marine that was wrapping up his third deployment. Unicorn cars get me...
I’m proud of myself for making breakfast and coffee without burning down the house and this kid is finding Mayan ruins...
My old ‘93 Foxbody coupe passed inspection (emissions & safety) every year in Texas. That was with a 347, cam, no cats, egr delete, fat & skinny weld draglites, slicks etc. Totally a street car... as long as you “have a guy”. I think the system has changed a bit since those days, but the annual inspections still don’t…
It solves the problem of combining efficient forward flight and VTOL without the compromises that the osprey has. The osprey must rotate the nacelles up from forward flight position to land either in a conventional fashion, or they will hit the ground.
