I hate that people are giving him publicity but at the same time, I think the discussion on affirmative action is an important one because so many people, including this shitfuck, misunderstand it. If AA is a disadvantage to Indian Americans, then why are there more Indian Americans in medical school than Black

Even if he was telling the truth about this (lol nope) there is no evidence he got in because he pretended to be black. Also, he has a post on his site calling Abigail Fisher the Rosa Parks of our time. Go ahead and Google who that is in case you forgot who she was.

I honestly hope he realizes, in many medical schools across the country, Asians are not considered a minority, as there are far, far more Asian medical professional students, than Hispanics, Blacks, and Anerican-Indian/Pacific Islander.

Then people like Maher will say ‘I told you so about Muslims’. There’s no winning.

This article was clearly written by a person who knows little about how medical research is done or the state of neuroscience's knowledge regarding structural and neurochemical underpinnings of behavior and mental dysfunction. The author makes the bold and easily refutable statement that mental illness is not the

This is a dangerous an irresponsible article and I'm disappointed in IO9 for running it.

One of the sloppiest articles I've ever seen on a gawker site, and that is saying something. May I suggest you leave science to the professionals?

Big Pharma conspiracy? Check.

I'm only a pharmacy student, not a researcher in the topic of depression treatment, but here's my perspective and what I was told.

If the author's point is to say that "chemical imbalance" is an oversimplification of what is going on, fine, great. But even just reading the Wikipedia article on depression shows that "chemical imbalance " is a piece of the puzzle, with genetic, environmental, and learning factors coming into play. Not only that,

If you're using terms like "PharmaCrack" you shouldn't be covering this because you're clearly got an ideological axe to grind.

The last thing people with poorly-controlled depression should do is stop whatever meds they're currently on because of the lack of an elegant theory explaining why the meds they're taking have been proven to work.

Most marketed pharmaceuticals are put to market without a mechanism of action being known. That doesn't mean they don't work. We just don't have a theory to describe how they work.

Gahd, "thirsty" is OVER.
