That last line about the forecast is the best thing. I’ve been inside doing some cleaning, but I’m heading out for the rest of the afternoon. It’s too nice outside to watch the NFL.

That was such a nice goal. The quickness to half get up off the ground, pull the ball back toward his left foot, and then fire a quick shot past Courtois was really, really cool.

You mention the soundtrack having the Beastie Boys, but the soundtrack I’ve always listened to (I assume it’s the officially released version) has some great tracks from Folk Implosion, Slint, and Daniel Johnston, among others. I’ve wanted to see the movie, but never have. After reading the review, maybe I’ll just

The real Baby Faced Assassin.

Especially in the match against Liverpool, I think Mata did a really good job of helping out in defense. He wasn't making big tackles or pushing guys back, but he was getting little pokes at the ball, being in the way, and giving the United backline a quick outlet in the Liverpool third. It was a great match for him

Good to know.

I agree it's way to early to concede the title (United and Chelsea have both thrown away leads to City in the past few years). But I don't think the fixture congestion will be too big a reason for it. Chelsea (and City) are out of the FA Cup (and potential replays, which really screws up the schedule), and Chelsea

You're correct about Lakefront. Riverwest is my easy go-to beer, and Fixed Gear is great, too. I need to try more Bridge Burner, I guess.

They had the Padilla Flotilla and the Wolf Pack in the early 00s, and those were always funny to see.

That was great. +1

Now that La Liga's done for the season, I can avoid Ray for a few months. How many times did he say "magisterial"? The guy is the worst color commentator I've heard in any sport.

Exactly. Barca is the one team of the top 3 in La Liga that can go all out in the League, and have Atletico (away) in the last week of the season. I think AM have too tough a schedule to win the league (plus 2 matches with Chelsea), and it will come down to what RM do in the matches after the Bayern matches.

To be fair to Atletico, they're not at all doing what Chelsea did against Barca and Bayern in 2012. AM is counterattacking, but it's not like they're playing a 9-0-1 or anything.

'Cause they swear too much.
