Heh. I was totally eyeing that today on the Steam sale, but I was like, “Noooooo, you have too many games alreadddddddy.”

Sounds like it gets pretty rad - I’ll probably give it another shot after a while.
Nice - yeah, hearing a lot of similar opinions. Probably going to give it another shot.
Thanks! I’m hearing a lot of similar responses, so I’ll probably give it another shot in a few months.
I mostly followed the story, leveling the warrior to 20, fishing to ~7, cooking to ~5, and the rogue to ~12 (can’t remember exactly - been a few weeks). I went to the gambling place last, and was trying to figure out how to get to the next quest point, after getting lost in one of the cities. Then I went out of town…
Thanks man! Once I work through my Steam Queue I think I’ll definitely give it another shot. I just need to take a more focused approach, like you said, and I think I’ll probably enjoy it.
Damn, that is a LOT of content. I think I’ll give it another shot at some point, but first I’m going to try and chop down my Steam queue a bit.
Yeah, I hear you. Plus I have my endless Steam queue to keep chopping away at.
I’d recommend Guild Wars 2 as your next MMO, if you’re going to try one. Should be cheap now, and it’s actually extremely fun to play, with a gorgeous, immersive world.
Yeah, the early game was really, really fun, and the world is so beautiful and immersive. The endgame was a grind (if you’re trying to go for legendaries), and it’s heavily weighted toward making you plunk down real cash for special loot.
Guild Wars 2 was a really amazing game. The only thing I hated about it was (since there’s no monthly fee) they introduced all these things you had to do each month, and miss out on (or have to pay for) if you don’t play constantly, so going back at this point would just feel like I had missed too much.
Nice - and yeah, I was working on grinding the rogue up to 20 so I could continue with the story as that class when I stopped. Love me some dual-wielding DPS.
I guess it was less the grind than the overwhelming feeling of content and the thought, “Geez, I can hypothetically level up every crafting class and every combat class, and I’m still having trouble with getting lost.”
I’m pretty early on - I just flew to the other two starting places to start up the memorial service for the Warriors of Light. Last thing I was trying to do was grind the rogue up to 20 so I could continue the story with that class.
Nice - good to hear. I may give it a shot down the road then.
Nice - yeah, the few multiplayer things I did were my favorite part for sure. I might pick up the full version and give it a shot. The annoying thing is I bought the SE humble bundle because it had the full version of the game with the 30 day trial, but it won’t let you upgrade a trial account. At this point I’ll…
At what point, would you say?
Man, after your article about every FF fan needing to play FF Online, I finally took the plunge and did the trial. I got to lv. 20 in the warrior class, did some fishing, and ranked up the rogue a bit.
That is a really excellent line. Looking forward to seeing more of her writing!
