I’m not a materials engineer, so can someone tell me if strapping the rocket body down while firing the engines is likely to cause warping or some other structural defect?

I’d totally take Wolverine’s healing capability. It only makes you immortal in the sense that old age, disease, and run-of-the-mill injuries won’t kill you. If he were at ground zero of a nuclear explosion, the nuclear fireball would consume his body and the shockwave would scatter his constituent atoms. There’s no

Did the image with the three floors of assembly machines make anyone else think of the Skynet building for manufacturing HKs and Terminators?

When asked in a vacuum, I assume that questions like this include an implicit “and we will have figured out how to do this without adverse side effects.” (After all, I would be willing to bet money the survey’s results will change if a question is along the lines of “How do you feel about a brain implant that will

Edit: I’m not saying our real life Special Force follow a 6.5-8 hour training day, either. I meant to tie their training and the 15ish years of Mara’s training and operational history together. If she was taken from her parents at age 5 and became operational at 18, she was given 13 years of training - which I tried

I love that they’re bringing Thrawn into the new canon.

I look forward to fully autonomous vehicles. Then I can do something during my commute other than sit and stare out the window at the other cars while listening to my music.

I met my wife in 10th grade. We started dating freshman year of university. She was only my second serious relationship, and I was her first serious relationship. I’m not keen on the hairless look, but a well groomed area is much more attractive to me than au naturel. I regularly shave my area and don’t see it as sexist to want my partner to as well, especially if she wants me to go down on her.

I’m fine with buying a car programmed to select the course of action that results in the fewest fatalities.

First, I’d like to see the scientifically rigorous, statistically valid, study showing that humans have unique faces. We accept this as axiomatic, but I’ve never found a study on it.

Something like knowledge of contact with aliens would not be put on a computer network other than an isolated LAN. If there is a LAN, the cables would be shielded so there would be no chance of cross-talk whereby some 1s and 0s might accidentally transfer to other network cables nearby.

That may be the simplest explanation, but simple does not necessarily mean correct. As H.L. Mencken said, “For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.”

I’ll make my second attempt to have this not show up as pending:

For those who wrote about wanting to find a copy:
Netflix has it on DVD. I burned it to my hard drive.
