When I was just a wee lad (40 some years ago), my father was a captain on the local volunteer fire department. On a designated Saturday once each summer, they’d ask for mutual aid from a local town (where another fire department covers your calls) and have an annual picnic for the fire department personnel and their Read more

Eh, splurge and get the Weber 22" Premium. Ash clean up is so much easier. While you’re at it, get cast iron grill grates, too.

It’s a little bit more money, but I’d *highly* suggest going up to the Premium Weber for it’s ash-catcher, especially if you’re concerned about burning embers. Having the ash get trapped in the bottom is great, plus you don’t have to empty it all the time either. It’s definitely worth the extra $50. Read more

Embarrassed to say I came here hoping there’d be some mention of gas grills- charcoal just doesn’t seem practical for use on my apartment’s balcony for just 2 people.

Wow, you really are defensive. I think the issue here is that this article is published by a very well respected site. People like me read the reviews here and take it into consideration when purchasing. However this article was written it a way that did not inform. That statement about “feels clean” huh? I can take Read more

They sell a similar product for CPAP cleaning.  You can smell stuff being cooked.  Same for UV filters in AC air handlers.  I got one installed and it smelled like someone had lit matches as stuff was burned away.

“... but it felt clean, which makes all the difference....”  Well, that’s certainly the gold standard.  Did you then turn the phone over and clean the other side?  Did they indicate why a 3-minute clean was ok and when a 10-minute clean was necessary?  On the other hand, if $84 gives you peace of mind, the price is Read more
