While I agree this is a shame - I am trying to think about it from Nintendo’s perspective:

I think people are really overreacting to what was said about Kate’s trailer and the risks as the article is spot on:

I was going to respond in more detail, but like you said it is too emotionally draining. Suffice to say, I completely agree with everything you said.

I think I was all on board with what you were saying... Not so much the second half of the solutions (which in some ways shows the success of Israel’s approach.

Like many other people... Final Fantasy 7 and then strangely enough Legend of Mir (early free MMORPG that also had a dedicated channel on Sky - at least in the UK).

Reading this you think it would be the perfect games company for Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony (or even Epic....) to approach to win some easy kudo points to publish a bunch of new Suda 51 games with at least some timed exclusivity (without any predatory or overbearing contracts).

I was fascinated by this so much more than I would have thought I would have been. It is amazing how unforeseen consequences to design decisions results in something unexpected that gained traction with players.

I agree with you, but I suppose you also forgot the most important part.

Great review, but as a reference point do you have examples of other large games that you did not struggle with or you found equally difficult to manage?

I haven’t played the Uncharted games (I just missed them). What would be a good jumping on point? I tried the first one and I didn’t think it held up well.

While it is a bit too late to complain about spoilers - you gave away an amazing moment in Outer Wilds. It is still rarely given much attention, which is why I think you should change it - finding out about x moment in the game for the first time and experiencing the confusion of what is actually happening has been

Thanks Ash! As as someone who is non-white, I loved your articles... but what had a greater resonance and impact on me was how you responded in the Comments to people who complained about “why are you talking about race?”, etc. and worse.

Thanks! Now that it has gone down in price I'll pick it up. Given all the focus on GaS model it used I avoided it like the plague - but for a decent single player for a reasonable price - feels like it is worth picking up.

Actually, I want to buy it just for the single player campaign. Is it worth it for that alone? I literally have no interest in the games as service stuff.

I actually did the opposite. I looked up the first few planets I needed to be on to progress as I just ended up getting stuck superficially exploring all of the planets and then not knowing what to do.

I would disagree. I hated it initially, but it really needs to be taken into account of the game as a whole and the controls for the ship adds it.

I’m going to say that I committed the cardinal sin... I used a... guide... and I still loved the game!

It’s amazing for this to be dug up after all this time, but... I had a quick scan through (will watch properly later)...

What would make me want to go out of the way to buy this is simplicity and ease of use. At a minimum, I want to be able to easily go on the Steam store, find a game I want to play/search, install it (ideally not taking hours), automatically detecting I am using a Steam Deck and using automated graphics settings (or

This feels so short sighted. As far as I know PES is a well known brand and is literally the only alternative to Fifa.
