This article is important and needed to be said. It’s been said before, but it should always be said when it comes up.

Hey buddy, that looks more like an axe to me. New type of melee heavy? *crosses fingers*

Here’s a thought for everyone: stop throwing the word racist around just because characteristics of two races, however stereotypical, are mentioned. Racism is when one race is elevated over another as superior. This is highlighting two different aspects in a positive light. “Diametrical opposition” is the real

I love the Princess Bride tribute. This game has my money.

If you're not playing the game from a Japanese data center, you probably won't see these anyway. I feel like most westerners agree with you on this one.

More like Ca$h Bandicoot, amirite?

That’s the first thing I thought of!! I was going to look for that article again, I’m glad you left it here.

Yeah, the whole interaction was pretty awkward. A small reality production team does not sound out of the budget for a Facebook- and Oculus-sponsored two person visit.

That’s why he was director of the Boston Pops for so long! They played his music all the time. And all other memorable classical music.

I don’t think he meant little in terms of quality. He’s right—compared to other Star Wars films, a lot of new memorable melodic material was not introduced. You have Rey’s theme, the Resistance theme, and Kylo Ren’s leitmotif. Everything else is either a reference to older melodies or underscore.

This is beautiful. One of my favorite Kotaku pieces (EDIT: just noticed it appeared on Gizmodo originally, not Kotaku)

And here I thought Sword Art Online was NOT ripped straight out of 90's American paranormal cult television

True, I will give you the FF14 revival. But that came as such a giant surprise and it’s something no other developer—beloved or not—has tried to do. So I would call that the exception to the established pattern. Same with FF15, as far as it looks. Time will tell with that one, but it does seem to be getting something

Because Square Enix when this game came out and Square Enix today have entirely different business and development philosophies. They now have a proven track record of fucking it up, I.e. Serving up a pie for players to eat but leaving out the fruit inside until they pay for it. Or not having fruit at all and making

I feel like this video is trying to sell me a crappy pod racer at a high price.

Awesome! I went to high school and college with these girls, they're all in my hometown. Congrats to them and thanks for the article, Luke! I wasn't expecting to see my friends faces on here today :)

Whoa there, Judgy McJudgerson. First person or not, YOU are controlling the characters. The actions they take are because you are inputting the controls. So maybe you're a horrible person because you go through the missions like the game directs you to, doing the things it tells you to make the characters do.

Literally what I came here to type.

It highlights the sad state of video game journalism when a teaser paragraph misleads the reader. I came into this article thinking "reportedly surprised" implied that he was pleasantly surprised at his good fortune. No one ever gets bags of rocks these days and not only has Kotaku once again clickbaited me into
