Every single one of them is awesome.
Every single one of them is awesome.
Oooh, this is a real thing? (I think Doctor Who has not helped my mastery of what is or not a real historical thing that happened)
Yeah, I loved the books, love the show but the pacing feels unfamiliar - no big cliffhangers in the season finale or feeling that there’s a progression to a big event - they kinda happen suddenly.
I think the fact that almost every relationship is very conflictual, with women being proud and stubborn and men being brave and foolish. Men keep saying “who understands women?” and women keep saying “ah, boys...”. It’s like everyone is in a teenage drama, not having grown-up & diverse relationships.
Wheel of Time, for all its (massive) flaws and (unbelievable) pacing issues, is one of my favourite fantasy stories and could be great if it’s done really, really well.
You know what, a couple of years ago I’d have watched it. I am after all already convinced by their argument.
When did writing Forrest Gump become a bad thing that “makes some people nauseous”? If you told me he was the lead writer on Movie 43 or Transformers, I’d understand.
Just binged it in 2 days. Simply blown away by how good this was - up there with Jessica Jones in the “serious superhero” category (DC murderverse: you see, it’s possible to do great grown-up stuff without being all gritty and depressing).
This movie looks really promising, so I’m not checking trailers to keep it fresh. Only question: is it full of gore / disgusting stuff (which I cannot watch for fear of eternal nightmares), or just deeply unsettling due to the atmosphere or suspense (which I love)?
This comic is probably unknown outside of Belgium & France, but Achille Talon basically invented the walk-and-talk and it’s a masterpiece. His dad’s superpower is beer. At some point he’s the secret king of an Eastern European country. This is the hero we deserve.
The issue with this franchise seems to be that the first movie had a fairly generic story and bland characters (who remembers the name of any of them? all I can recall is that there was a paralysed human, who maybe died at the end? and the lady blue alien). The visuals however were stunning.
21. the Class Defender award scene from the classmates she thought hated her
As a kid, I loved Jumanji. Never saw it again since but it’s clearly not biased nostalgia talking when I say it can only be a great movie if I liked it then.
Basically superhero shows fall in 3 categories right now:
Citymapper is that app
Why did they reveal who his dad was so early before the movie was out (I think it was at least 6 months ago)? I’d have assumed this would be a major plot point in the sequel?
“and I’m covered in brains”
This is both well made and actually funny - I think Voldemort’s laughter and the objects reaction to it was my favourite bit!
Still play daily too - I absolutely want to complete the pokedex and don’t care about gyms or upgrading pokemons, just having one of each. Thanks to the finally working tracker and the fact that I live in a major city, I’m just missing a couple and hopefully Chancey will be mine this week!
OK, that’s pretty cool.
