I’m pretty NIMBY when it comes to the fracking nearby. Doesn’t matter though. O&G is currently getting fined $2650/day for violating noise ordinances, but they just laugh about it. I think within 3 miles of my house we’re up to 32 wells, with only 80 or so more to go. Read more

That was a scary finish. I hope Newman is ok. It feels kind of eerie.

I would enjoy that little truck. Squeaky clean!

That was crazy. It was ho hum, around the track until about 10 laps to go. Then all the crazy came out.

Ahh, for some reason, I thought banking was open to everybody. Credit Unions are probably the better bet for decent rates, then.

By it with all the discounts, then refi. That’s what I did both with the 4Runner and Focus ST....better discounts when I went with either the in house or manufacturer crazy rates, then refinanced lower with USAA. The FoST was something crazy, like $4k in rebates, but had to finance at 6%. I refinanced before I made Read more

My younger years, I had to volunteer three months each year to work an off hours shift. I’d do that every Jan, Feb, March....work midnights, Sat-Tues, go up after work on Tuesday, come back down on Saturday. A bunch of us rented a condo for ski season every year.

Well duh, just take 285 through Fairplay. Never any traffic, and definitely won’t be sketchy at all.

There’s a large fracking site near us, about 3 miles away. There are court cases involving that location, but it’s an active site anyway even though it’s contested. What will they have to do if they “lose” the lawsuits, but the resources back? Pay a fine that pales in comparison to what they extracted? Seems likely. Read more

For me, all a truck has to do is haul some hockey gear and the occasional lumber, so one would most likely work for me. The price, though. Ouch.

It does appear to have good, functional differences. It sounds like it’ll come in around the same price as a Rubicon. I can’t wait for the Desert Trail Rated Edition.

I haven’t see a ton of overbuilt JLs (or even many JTs at all). JKs are all over the place, though, all angry with random color halos. If I were to get one, it’d be a mid trim two door, which is hugely impractical, so I won’t be getting one.

Apparently, it comes blocked from the factory but can be opened. As you said, why you’d want to open it and dump dirt into your engine bay is beyond me.

I’ve been eyeing them for a while. I’ve driven a few different JLs and liked those, so I’d like to see how different the JT is.

It has a few differences, Fox remote reservoir shocks, rear locker (no front), different transfer case. Faster dirt running is it’s game over rock crawling.

But you can’t out-TRD Pro a TRD Pro Tacoma if you don’t have hood scoops!
