When I was test driving a few months ago, the Ram Rebel was my favorite. Loved the interior. The F150 was ok, but the interior let it down for me. FCA be damned, if I was to buy new today, I’d be getting a Rebel, it just felt like a better place to be.

I had an ‘85 Si, then a 90 Si. Fantastic fun little cars that were great on gas, too. I did a lot of road trips in the ‘90. Those are two cars I’d sure love to have back. The ‘85 was totaled when I got rear ended. The ‘90 I stupidly traded in on a ‘96 Yukon. I will say, I really liked the Yukon too, though.

Seeing a picture of that sure brought back some memories.

Not without a pleasant rise in your rates! There was another rollover recently on Argentine Pass here where the parking prowl in the transmission failed. The Taco took an unfortunate driverless ride down the hill.

Yep. Nervous driver went too high to the right. As the right side climbed higher, the left side dropped off a stair and it did a slow rollover. It’s also common there for people to get nervous about the front end dropping and people jamming the brakes, which causes them to roll, too.

I was on the local forums they day of the rollover for that 4Runner. I haven’t been, but that pass is definitely a cheek clenched for sure. I’m pretty sure there was a rollover the day the pass opened, and this one wasn’t too much after, either. They posted up pictures of how they did the recovery, it was pretty

I’ll revisit this now that people are going gaga over the new Defender. It’s pretty much exactly what Ward says. There’s definitely a market for Toyota for a non luxobarge Land Cruiser. They just don’t have the cajones to do it, or the desire given the “go forward” Japanese mindset. It’s a shame, really.

Toyota has successfully marketed the Tacoma and 4Runner as the adventure off road vehicles. I don’t see them introducing a lower spec Cruiser to be just above the price point of, say, a Pro 4Runner.

I do love me the V70R, but you reminded me to check and see if my other Swede is still available on CL. Yup, the Viggen is still there.

Thanks! I really like the wheels so much better than the stock SR5 wheels!

I read the attached article, it made me chuckle. “premium economy”. Avoid the optics of the situation. United knew full well they would have a completely empty section. Bump up some repeat customers. As far as the analogy, it’s pretty damn stupid. You can’t compare a service to a good.

Those wheels will look great. Love the Bullitt, too

Thanks, I’m pretty pleased with it. I parked next to a 4th gen this morning that had sliders on it, made me want some slider steps.

Congrats. The Ascent in this combo seemed predetermined, which is a ok. If you like it, you like it! When I test drove cars last year, I nitpicked on everything on every other vehicle, but not the 4Runner. I gave it a try, but in the end, just got what I knew I wanted instead of trying to like something else.

The only time I pick up my phone is to pass it to my son in the back if he asks to be the DJ. Even then, I usually tell him he has to wait until we’re at a stop.

That looks like it would be a fun event. The small Cruiser meet I went to a few years ago here, everyone was super friendly and nice.

Tell that to the kid with the Speed3 that lives at the end of my street.

A few months ago, my wife and I both guessed drunk driver on one vehicle. We were on an highway interchange and they were all over the place. They brushed a guardrail once. And where lanes merged, they came to a complete stop. It’s a 75MPH zone where they stopped. In the middle of the road. As we drove by, my wife
