This sounds like a really gross podcast. Glad to know I can give it a miss.
This sounds like a really gross podcast. Glad to know I can give it a miss.
I remember one of my very first lectures in law school was about an old California Supreme Court case about whether a girl who was 17 3/4 when she had sex with the defendant was “for all intents and purposes” 18, and the court ruled she was for much the same reasons listed here (she “acted like an adult”, she gave the…
Ugh, that podcast sounds really gross and victim-blamey. I always like Lords during her later acting career.
Or what about this? She was both scammer and victim? She was sixteen when the age of consent was eighteen. This law exists because sixteen-year-olds cannot consent to sex with adults, cannot enter contracts, cannot do many things that require adult reasoning (which, of course, many adults don’t use).
Thank you for refering to her as a child. I’ve seen so many fucking guys lately say “Underage women” fuck off she was a child you prevs.
Oh yeah. Lords was a victim who was lucky enough to escape alive. The fact that almost 40 years later society still wants to hang a “little slut who fooled us” sign on her says volumes.
I follow Traci on insta and she’s a real delight. She’s busy af in her own fun businesses and appears to have moved on and happy. I wish people would stop giving her so much hate and picking on her when she was obviously a victim.
I can’t be the only Latin person to have grown up not experiencing the “chancla culture”. The way Latin moms are depicted in the media is very one note. They’re always seen as disciplinarian, openly critical of their children and as someone who runs a tight ship. My mother was the complete opposite. She was always…
Why do progressives seek to erase Latin culture, by using the term “latinx”, a term that Latin people do not support, and never asked for?
Don’t you mean chanclx?
This dude focused on sexist issues for decades and yet somehow failed to realize in all that time that most of the reasons these laws exist are because of the patriarchy, not because of feminism. I doubt he’d listen to a word you said.
It’s cool that the moms are showing up. You know who is suspiciously NOT showing up? All those militia types, who have as their stated reason for existing, being armed and ready to fight if the federal government oversteps its bounds and starts being tyrannical. Or something.
If you’re going to risk your life, maybe it ought to be for something more important than your Brett Kavanaugh cosplay.
“Oh, so it’s ok for us to spend our paychecks on rent and heat but it’s NOT ok for us to spend our paychecks on a jetski???”
Probably Bowling Green...
Where do you live that you can’t have a beer with a buddy after a hard day’s work?
This whole thing is such a ginormous cluster fuck. The personnel they sent aren’t trained to deal with protesters. The state is now suing the federal government for its actions, which I only hope will be successful to prevent this bullshit elsewhere.
This is why people don’t come forward. You talk about being raped, and somebody’s going to be like “Well, one time she left a yelp review that seemed, frankly, rude. I bet she’s just a lying slut.”
Oh, it’s not my first batch of despair popcorn.
Oh, oops, my bad again. Only women who have never lied and who only lived good lives can have their accusations believed. You sure got me!
