If you are with Liberty Mutual contact their national call center(Not the agent who wrote you) and tell them you are going to cancel unless they rewrite you to a better rate. If you have a good history with them and your credit is good they will lower your rate. Trust me. I used to work for them. Unknown secret.

Just call a local agent. They have access to the same carriers plus a few more regional carriers. You will be better off with the personal touch.

Foolish comment. Companies lower auto rates all the time. Competition forces them to. You cannot regulate auto insurance. If you did they would just quit. They have to make money. Storm activity is not controllable. If you have two or three bad weather years then you cannot make it up with a 1% increase.
