I would read the ever living HELL out of this book.

They're ok, though not great. The first two are better than The Shepard's Tale, but they won't blow your mind or anything, just fairly stand alone stories that aren't laid out as well as they could be. Sheppard's Tale was... weird? Felt very contradictory to the things we did know and the story wasn't told that

"Lucas is immortal thanks to the slug creature living in his neck." dude!! You just got a classic spit-take with that line, well played! I'm still chuckling.

Ok, not sure why i haven't done this before, but you're totally hearted for that comment. This kind of stuff drives me NUTS. Thanks for (once again) being so awesomely rational.

Ok, i know this is heresy, but i've actually started looking forward to the (seemingly inevitable) Star Wars remakes we'll get in 50 years. New director, new writers, new everything. I mean, they may well suck, but if we get lucky they could be the best thing ever. Now here's hoping i live long enough to see them,

Yeah, that always bothered me too. I fan wanked it by saying that the cartoons were actually shown in the star wars universe as a piece of Republic propaganda. So the stories are "canonical" in a sense, but only as in-universe media. But i'll admit that i'm WAY overthinking it.

You got that right. That one shot did more for my understanding of their relationship than anything in the live action movies. And, while i like the new CG version, it doesn't have anywhere near the same... heart? emotional resonance? It does some things well, but nothing comes close to what this series pulled off.

Oh man, the scene where Anakin becomes a Jedi is still one of the best moments in the whole frickin' prequels. Sucks that they've let that go out of print. As much as i enjoy the new CG clone wars there's nothing in it to match that scene.

Not dumb, good question.

I had the unfortunate task of learning all about the evil things when my apartment was infested a few years ago (I live in NYC). Getting rid of them took forever. It was practically a "nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure" kind of deal.

I had no idea there were deleted scenes for this movie. I will go out and find them post-haste! Great post on what might have been.

"The great news is that Hillary Clinton would keep accidentally trying to kill President McCain in a series of cartoonish hi jinx." If you can draw, this should be a web-comic... sort of an alt-history spy vs spy kind of thing. I'd read the hell out of that!

It has to be really extreme cold as they little bastards have anti-freeze in their blood. So liquid nitrogen will work, but regular winter cold just makes them dormant.

Head north, or west, or at least make it to New Orleans or Austin, and let your freak flag fly. Goofy people rock.

Who says size doesn't matter?

Just came to give a companionable fist-bump for the It's A Wonderful Life hate. Can't. Stand. That. Movie.

Ok, i don't watch Warehouse 13 (i'm thinking about diving in, but up 'till now haven't seen a single episode) and i still loved the hell out of this. This... is an alternate reality i don't think i'd mind living in.

Replying to promote. Well said.

"To me, this is more a story about the dangers of privatizing (or making optional) what should be mandatory, publicly-funded, tax-supported services than anything else."
