I’d want a comrade to help with the labor.

Top Marx to both of you.

You’d have to Putin a lot of work on that truck.

Nothing to do with the whole Trump thing, but I wouldn’t be Russian to buy it.

Fuck the Gymkhana series. I want to see Shitkhana. Hoon the fuck out of ShitCar in the most glorious, gory, destructive, flashy way possible. Shitkahana should only be released on July 4th and they should always make it even more and more patriotic in the most ludicrous ways possible.

Yeah, but it’s a unibody, so it doesn’t count as real music.

Just goes to show that GM is truly innovative - they’ve had vibrating trim panels years before everyone else.

I can only imagine someone seeing that ad then trying it. Also, kinda surprised that the tires could make it a full 50' off the highway.

There are a couple at the airport, but no others in a 5 mile radius.

I live about 30 miles from that airport and every time I mow my lawn, I see thousands of them in the grass trying to run away from the mower. We had some in a car as well. Not many, but it was enough to convince us to get rid of our TDI early. The wife simply wouldnt drive it anymore after she saw a few.

My step-dad’s sister’s boyfriend has a 128i with the sport package as an auto, and when I was searching for one, I asked him about it. He described it as “yeah it’s got a 2.8 liter V6 with 300 horsepower but it rides like shit.” I cringed so hard and completely lost any inkling of respect I had for him

(insert joke about naval vessel commanding a lighthouse to change course)

I think this is key. People rarely order cars in the US and get whatever dealers have in stock. Particularly in the sub-$60k range. The lack of sales in manual 2 series have absolutely as much to do with our horrible, horrible auto dealer franchises as with anything else.

Nice non-denial from BMW USA. This move wouldn’t surprise me. Back when I had a 1-series, my CA (who was a very cool guy) shared with me that the take rate on manual 1-series was around 6%. Only one-in-fifteen 1-series were ordered as a manual. What in the fuck!? Why would you buy a 1-series coupe in an automatic?

Having actually shopped for such things, the real issue here is that BMW dealers don’t keep *any* three-pedal cars in stock. It’s a vicious cycle of none-to-buy —> nobody buys —> dealer thinks nobody wants one. Ironically, the only ones they order on spec are enthusiast specials like M2s and M6s, which sell within

I wonder what the take rate is for BMWs with manual transmissions these days (on models where it’s still offered).

I see all the boutique shops that deliver cakes, cookies, cupcakes etc.. getting one. Slapping their logo on the side and retain all their cutesy-ness. Small delivery routes, city driving, it might work. Just my 2 cents

You know that fucker was making them buy name brand.

Could have been worse, it could have been Walmart.

Little known fact: this is how the Forester was born.
