On a related note, regarding the RB3 Squier Strat, I assume the electronics in the neck simply checks for conductivity between strings and frets - i.e. holding the string against a fret completes a circuit.

@TheolaRegulus: More to the point, what does the genuine Squier Stratocaster smell like?

Mmmmmm... Swype.

I'm intrigued by your praise for the Harry Potter games. My sister plays them religiously, but, having read the books (I mean, who hasn't, right?) I was acutely aware that the castle was far, far too small and static. What happened to the corridors that go different places sometimes? How many times in the books do

Huh. I rooted and re-flashed mine to vanilla Froyo just a couple of weeks ago.

@Mister_CrazyGuy: "Isn't this protected on grounds of parody, though?"

VICTORY IS MINE

Homicider?

@Daz_Genetic: My thoughts exactly. It's also worth noting that if you're already wearing 3D glasses, there's no reason the head tracking circuitry can't be squeezed into the same unit.

There seems to be some confusion about the 3DS, its parallax barrier screen and what it means to "turn off the 3D". In an attempt to clear this up, I offer the following explanation. Please note that, for clarity's sake, I will refer to the new "3DS/3D Cinema/3DTV" form of 3D as stereoscopic 3D to distinguish it from

"The farther away from the object, the shadow is more diffuse. That's because farther away, light seeps into the shadow area from the surrounding environment."

Of course, by below, I mean above.

@Sam VanDerlip: 2.2 will not improve graphics performance, but will give a 2-5x speed increase on CPU bound tasks. See official video below (with 2.1 v 2.2 performance comparison in Replica Island).

@vinod1978: To fit in a better camera?

One more negative point: You cannot use the iMac as a monitor while the iMac itself is off. Pretty silly if you ask me, but still better than every laptop ever made, since those never have video-in ports.
