I seriously got through about 2 paragraphs and then I woke up...I must have blacked out, because now I have a keyboard imprint on my forehead.
Who. Fucking. Cares!?
Pedantry, thy name is zissou80.
I bet 99% of the vehicles will only have 1 person in them, the driver.
Totally agree, but this is the 90’s equivalent of a Yenko.
Cool, but no.
AAAAAAND this is why you don’t ask car guys for car buying advice.
For the non-pompous-homeless people among us with kids and jobs that require reliable transportation to get there... the Camry isn’t so bad.
BonafideSupraman explains why you have a Camry instead of a Vintage 911:
it looks as though it is connected to a sophisticated cooling system
awesome. Good for them.
Fact: Interesting cars cost money. You either pay upfront for a new one with some kind of warranty, or you pay to maintain an old one.
Totally agree. If I had space for two cars, I wouldn’t mind a hybrid or something for daily duty and a Porsche for fun.
So a guy buys a high mileage sports car, performs some repairs, and wants a hybrid economy car instead. Slow news day, guys?
You certainly make it sound like anyone who shops at CarMax is getting duped. I bought my car there specifically so I wouldn’t have to deal with slimy used car dealers, knowing full well they are not the cheapest. People want to tell me that I could have gotten a better deal but NOT IF I CAN’T LAND THAT DEAL! I’m not…
Becuase I don’t care about having the quickest lap-time. I just want a really nice sports car that I can enjoy everyday.
Porsche
I don’t understand it. Would you leave your wallet or purse unattended in the middle of a public street? Of course you wouldn’t. So why in the hell would you do it to your $100,000 sports car? It makes no sense.
If you believe Sergio, the Alfa should be on our shores within a year or two. The reality is probably never as the threat of Alfa Romeo returning to US has been out there since they rolled up their dealers in 95’. I’ve stopped believing that any sorta mainstream Alfa will ever get here.
