Every time I pull into the parking lot of my vet’s office...which is a frequent occurrence...I see his Mercedes and his wife’s Mercedes in front of the building and I wonder how much I contribute each month to their car payments.

My chocolate lab, Georgia, is 15 years, 3 months, and one week old. She takes a boatload of medication to keep her comfortable and mobile enough for day to day activities. I’ve already told my husband that he’s probably going to have to be the one to make the final decision for her. I don’t know that I’m capable.

I miss card shuffling machines. Shuffling by hand feels barbaric.

Please give that dog a treat. That dog is clearly in need of a treat.

I looooove it when I lay on the couch and my Springer hops up and snuggles into my knee pits with his little head propped up like he's watching tv. Just like Lola!

Yet another reason to be proud to be living in the Commonwealth of Kentucky! Yeah for me! (Excuse me while I go down a few shots of Kentucky bourbon to tamp down this feeling of impending doom.)

It would take me more than a day. It’s a long-ass book! But totally worth the time. It’s a book that sticks with you.

Someone needs to wash your mouth out with soap for that. I currently live in an Imo’s-less city and would do about anything for an Imo’s sausage an mushroom right now.

Oh, HELL NO. How terrifying. I hope none of them watched the first season of preacher.

That laugh...I’ll be haunted for days...

Their beer is great. The pale ale was my go-to beer when I lived in the STL. If your a pumpkin ale fan, theirs is terrific, but best from the tap, rather than bottled. I don’t personally know Tom Shlafly, but I believe all he has in common with his aunt is a last name.

Yes. They have two locations, a bottling plant that houses a restaurant, and the actual brewery that also houses a restaurant. Good stuff.

Oh, terrific. My son plays hockey and has just moved up into the age class where contact is allowed. He has naturally perfect, beautifully-shaped, even teeth. I hope they stay that way...

I don’t really get too nervous/stressed about dental stuff anymore. I spent so much time in the ortho chair and at the oral surgeon when I was a youngster that I’ve just gotten used to it...I think I’ve just been desensitized.

I know what you mean. I was absolutely imaging myself in this situation. ...with a couple of big dogs under foot, trying to lap up cheesecake water.

Yes, but Go Meat! I made a tri-tip in mine the other day and my husband couldn’t stop talking about how good it was.

I have a PolyScience that’s really good. It was kind of spendy and takes up a stupid amount of counter space, but it works really well. Def. gonna have to do those jarred cheesecakes, though. My kid, who loves cheesecake and is also fascinated by the sous vide circulator, will think I’m an awesome mom.

I have a 13-year-old boy. You’re doing god’s work. Keep it up.

I'll be your friend. :)

I had two root canals last year and they just gave me numbing shots. I drove myself home. Same thing when I had a piece of skin cut from the roof of my mouth and sewn onto my gum. Why can't I get knocked out?
