Theres probably a reason you only played to high school level if form tackling is that much of a mystery.

Watch a rugby game.  Most tackles are shoulder to waist.  Or cheek to cheek as my college coach used to say.

A proper form tackle doesn't have your head anywhere near the ball carriers head.  Seriously, watch a rugby game.  Shoulder to hip.  This isnt reinventing the wheel - there is a globally popular sport that has been tackling without pads or helmets for longer than American football has existed.

Every rugby player ever disagrees with you. Sucks that meatheads 90 years ago couldnt figure out how to tackle without using their head, but rugby union, rugby league and Aussie rules have all figured out how to tackle without pads or helmets.  Use your shoulders and wrap the ballcarrier.

So basically, play rugby.

It’s really not that hard. Tackle by leading with the shoulder and then wrapping the player with your arms. Rugby figured this out decades ago, and old timers who played in the 60s can still walk and remember their own names.  You don't actually need the helmets at all.

Only if he sucks.  But bigger point is tgat owners aren't incentivized to make an honest effort at winning.  From a payroll standpoint, winners get punished - unless your GM is actually good.  Sucking and underpaying high draft picks = profit
