360’s will be dependent on tire choice and driver aggression, regardless of drivetrain and weight.

I wonder what that looks like in real-time. Also, I don’t understand why so often you see spectators on the outside of a high-speed corner. Thankfully it looks like most of these people knew the risks and were prepared to move.

Doesn’t this happen every year?

This seems by far the best way to learn car control, whether a teen or an experienced driver. The world would be a better place if this type of experimentation made up at least 20% of all drivers education curriculum.

Same as me, mine was an 83, light silver-blue. I grew up near a lot of dirt roads, what a great way to learn car control at 16. I eventually hit a vapor-lock issue with the car and sold it to get an injected car, an 86 Scirocco.

I thought the record runs were only banned through the end of the year, did I miss something?

Awesome, I still haven’t driven an E60, but I drove an e28 and an e39 and they were both amazingly comfortable, nice price on that 550i! To me the e90 interior without navigation is just how I like them, I dislike overly equipped interiors, which is probably why my other car is an e30.

Third set of turbos? Is there any other manufacturer that has a better solution for the seal? I have read about the linkage rattle, saying it can be fixed with some adjustment, but ultimately does not affect anything other than sounding annoying and cheap. Basically it has to be slightly loose to ensure the wastegate

The big problem area on the 335i was the High Pressure Fuel Pump failing before 50k miles (which was covered by the warranty) and in some case the turbos failing at or around 80-100k, something about letting by excessive oil. The 330i is much more reliable as it is not a turbocharged motor, though I think it was

My brother just bought and drove one home from Austin to Seattle, 2007 335i sedan 6sp manual with sports package and ~90k miles for $14,995. Exterior and interior are very clean, has newish tires. It does need brake pads in the near future, but overall in great condition. He had no issues on his drive, and there are

Any 70’s or 80’s Volvo in Sweden.

I really want to say e38, but the e32 can look great too

You said to keep our eyes open for more on this car in the future, but I haven’t seen anything yet. Still incoming?

Well chosen! I got one as my fifth.

Insurance costs should be calculated into a young persons budget when choosing a car, but for the sake of this eBay challenge it is just to find the best car a young person can buy for $25k. Being the lowest powered BMW stateside from 2009-2011 I imagine insurance rates might not be as bad as you think (would be

People prone to ego boost will get it regardless of the type of car they have. I am just trying to suggest a great car for $25k, regardless if it is a 16 year old kid that thinks he is a better driver than Kimi Räikkönen, or is Kimi Räikkönen himself.

I also have to agree with everyone else that $25k is a large budget for a first car. Not that it is not a worthwhile investment, but because I can’t imagine being 16 and having $25k in the bank already or being in a position to take out a loan.

Or just bore out the 2.0L 4 to a 2.5L, build it up to ~300hp, throw on a LSD, give it some wide fenders and the M treatment for suspension, brakes, and steering, and call it the 228i Sport Evo. :D
