Please part the column curtain and show us the other questions you received this week so we can marvel at how bad they were that this was the overanxious one that made it.
I admit I’m not near soda fountains very often, but it soda water usually an option? I don’t recall ever seeing it, though I don’t look that hard.
Do you know what grimdark means? Because that wasn’t grimdark in the absolute slightest. Moffat era was WAY more fun than Davies. Need a little dash of darkness to make the light bits shine.
“The sarcophagus has been opened, but we have not been hit by a curse.”
That’s great info. I hadn’t heard that one. I still love how she was cast in the first place because the one of the casting directors had met her and said something like, “We have to write a role for this person. She’s just too crazy not to be in the show,” and, if memory serves, they wrote April to be just like how…
They said Lithgow is going to show up for a couple episodes, thankfully! I believe his daughter is still listed as a regular
“Mama Three-a!” is actually pretty damn great.
I know, and I get that, but McD’s is starting to blur those lines with how they’re starting to do table service. So when people are starting to go “hey you don’t have to tip at McD’s, and they’re now actively serving you your food”, then it’ll muddy the waters a bit.
So you put out a jar begging for money then going to insult people who bother to give you a hand out?
I disagree about “easier.” Those tablet-ordering things never make “tip a buck” the default at the counter, they almost always make you go to a custom menu and fill in the amount. “Tip a dollar” ought to always be an option but of course they want to fish for the guilty 10 or even 20% for counter service.
But that was the point of the surrounding sentences in the article?
It’s a great song, and almost made the cut. But I couldn’t make room for four Clarity tracks, and I think the three included instead are stronger.
I’d say the Captain Marvel teaser was just as vital, for different reasons. When Infinity War’s credits first started rolling, I sat there thinking about how heavy it all was, and I felt like I was missing something. Then the mid-credits scene happened and it all clicked; that last-roll-of-the-dice play by Fury was…
It wasn’t the strongest tease, but I learned that the UK has a children’s magazine that shares the name of a popular anti-gas medication.
She owes her career to her public perception, and being in this movie ain’t worth it.
Yeah, but I mean, when has political satire (or humor in general) NOT been preaching to the choir? I mean, conservatives aren’t tuning in to shows like The Daily Show or any other show that mocks them, and vice versa. I mean let’s be honest, no one in that Sam Bee “c*nt” controversy would have ever seen that clip if…
“he gives arguably the best performance that anyone has ever given as a superhero.”
X2 includes stuff just as bad: “You know all those dangerous mutants you hear about in the news? I’m the worst one.”
He also gets kidnapped in X-Men Begins: The Wolferine, and then even worse, is played by Ty Sheridan in X-Men Popsiclypse.
I don’t read the comics or anything but good lord Cyclops gets a raw deal in these movies. Gets kidnapped almost immediately in the second one and doesn’t show up again until the climax, then dies in the first ten minutes of the third one.
