Porsche needs to do an equivalent stunt where they race a Cybertruck against one of their cars, only... there’s snow on the ground.

The Bear is not a comedy! Just a bizarre choice, especially when they’ve got The Gang from Always Sunny right under their roof. They should be accepting the award, not presenting!

Yeah Watchmen was fucking awesome and was actually a full series with only like 1 thing left hanging at the end.

I get your point now, and agree that doesn’t make a ton of sense.

You’re missing out. The Leftovers and Watchmen are amazing.

I feel like I’m misunderstanding your point. Humans can’t be genetically identical to engineers because they’re shorter and not blue?

No, the proto-Alien is on purpose by the Engineers. The “real” Alien is further on purpose by an annoyed robot with daddy issues.

I thought the characters in Prometheus were acting very stupidly long before I saw anything about it on youtube. That aside, I enjoyed it (and Covenant) as much as I could.

I suspected they were artificial when it was shown that they had acid for blood and were able to survive vacuum and stuff like that. Then when later movies showed their lifecycle I was sure. The ability to hybridize with alien hosts is a pretty big tell but even putting that aside what ecology could produce

I like Hawley and LOVE Fargo so I’m trusting him to come up with something interesting, but just the fact that it’s part of the “Alien” universe leads me to fear/believe it will not be good. That’s only because I have 35 years of history on my side, though.

Sorry but the Prometheus and Covenant origin is way cooler/horrifying and HR Giger-ish than mundane Darwinian evolution.

Me too. I’m here over on my own little island not far away, but we probably shouldn’t try to make contact because the waters are infested with haters.

I do get why people don’t like it, and personally I’m fine with this series moving on without it - the video game Alien Isolation kept the first film’s chunkier retro

Yeah, I have a lot of issues with the prequels but one of the things it got right is that technology and aesthetics don’t always advance in step with each other, and don’t always consistently move in the same direction. Of course things looked prettier during a prosperous peacetime than they did under the thumb of an

why does this sound so much like the Gran Turismo menu music.

Another thing that pissed me off about those movies is the argument that “allowing the dinosaurs to spread across the planet is allowing nature to reclaim what belongs to it!”

That always bugged me about the Jurassic Park movies after the first one. Why are the dinosaurs bulletproof?

I don’t think it’s every gamer who feels that way, but the sentiment certainly is more prominent than I would have thought a few years ago. It really felt like the community at large fought for a long time for games to be seen and respected as art as much as other storytelling mediums; now it feels like there’s at

Dunno what to think of it except two things that I hate about it already. Firing an RPG at a rex and it doesn’t leave a mark at all. Like not even scorching the skin... And then he breaks a horn on the trike, by hand and rams it into the skull... The power levels seems to be fluctuating by a wide margin...
