I feel like the real problem with the trilogies is that they are trying to be about something, but that thing is always “Sometimes people have to decide between being good or evil” and literally nothing else. They’ve spent nine goddamn movies and 42 years on that very simple concept.

I dislike it because there’s a whole bunch of goofy BS sprinkled about and it’s clearly a zany slapstick comedy at points, and then a super serious drama at other points. The tone doesn’t work.
