This was the first tv show I made a point to catch whenever it was on that wasn’t a cartoon or something else made for kids. (aside from the fact that it could get pretty childish itself) I bought the dvds 20 years ago and was happily surprised to see that it held up. Very much looking forward to revisiting it again.

There certainly aren’t.  Whatever that means.

No, I understand what they’re saying. When my grandmother died a few years ago, it took months for us to find and burn all the photos and videos we had of her. But now she’s forever erased from our memories and life is all the better for it.

TVLine has confirmed with sources that “great care” was given to preserving the tone and style of the series, while limiting the number of replacement songs. Specifically, we hear that all of the songs sung on-screen by Shepherd, Willis and the supporting cast are intact in the remastered version of the series. And

Also, it was announced yesterday that Moonlighting will make it’s streaming debut on Hulu October 10.

I can’t let a mention of Cliffhanger go by without mentioning poor Ralph Waite, trying desperately to give a look of horror and grief when Sara falls to her death in the opening scene, but only looking for all the world like he’s laughing his ass off.

I wonder what mid-20's Elliott thought when he saw E.T. during that scene when he saw TPM in ‘99.

The Boimler/Rutherford conflict may have been the weaker plot, but it had the biggest laugh of the episode for me: when they’re arguing with each other as the dueling Twains and Boimler just starts yelling “Grits Grits Grits!”.

The phrase ‘in a galaxy far, far away’ makes you assume that the planet Earth is somewhere out there, right? Hyuang quoting that in the intro got me halfway expecting that they were going to pull some Battlestar Galactica BS and the big ring was going to emerge from hyperspace in our solar system. I was very relieved

My gut reaction is that this won’t work without Niles. But I remember hearing the same thing 30(!) years ago when people thought Frasier wouldn’t work without the gang at Cheers to bounce off of. I’m going to try and keep an open mind about it.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and go look up the album of Gershwin songs he did with Diana Krall, Love is Here to Stay. It came out in between the two records he did with Lady Gaga and maybe because of that didn’t get as much attention as it deserved. It’s wonderful.

Will the Disney camera set come with a Ub Iwerks minifig buried under the floorboards of Walt’s drawing studio?

I’ve always had a soft spot for Sabrina. I’m a sucker for when he does comic roles, aside from Six Days Seven Nights.

One of the files G’iah pulls up, in addition to Groot and the others, was Extremis. And the physical effects of the dose that Sonya injects into the guy during the interrogation seemed very much like that. So if the Skrulls are collecting information on something that she’s actually using, what does that say about

If you want to hear what the score for Empire could have been if they had taken the easy route and just done the same thing over again, listen to Superman II. It’s essentially a rerecording of the original with a smaller and weaker orchestra. Then it was divided up and they just dropped in whatever section of music th

We get to see Empire in a few months projected with a live orchestra playing the score, and then about a month later another orchestra a couple of hours from here is doing the same with A New Hope. We had the chance to see ET and Raiders like this a few years ago, and both were a blast. Really can’t wait.

His mom didn’t leave.  She died.

Surely I’m not the only one that remembers Bring ‘Em Back Alive! With the non-Jeff Bridges cast of Tron!

Every time I see anything about this guy, I like to remind people that he’s an accomplished Cellist who has played in the orchestras for the scores to a couple of Mission Impossible movies, Star Trek into Darkness, and Rogue One, among others.   Let’s see Dylan McDermott top that.
