@Tpadz: Glad I bought the 80GB MGS4 edition of the PS3 when I did. I wasn't even thinking about the backwards compatibility issue at the time.
@Les Mikesell: People do tend to flock toward more open hardware and platforms. That's for sure.
Would be fun to tinker with, but that really isn't enough to justify a purchase.

I still have yet to get Listen to work on my N1. I get the error where it doesn't sync up with my gmail accounts that are on the phone.
With all the tablet news I came into the article looking at a new tablet and smartphone by Canon.

If Sony provides the Google TV updates at the same rate as their Android updates then a separate box might be the better option.
Hopefully this little guy will help keep the price of Google TV boxes down. $100 is a winning price point all around.
