To be fair, the 885i from my ‘99 Tiger would probably make this thing scream, the Rocket III would be a bit overkill (and probably too big for the engine bay).

I bought a 2000 Focus Sedan (Sony Xplode “special edition”) in NY years ago and got vanity plates on it. Thought I was being clever when I chose “BLUR” for my Focus. I think I still have the old plates sitting in my garage.
Most of the parts on that truck were built to last 25 years, it still has plenty of time left
That was my thoughts, more like Icon or Singer (okay, maybe not on the same level as Singer). It’s cool, it looks good, probably drives great, and for those who want to dump that kind of money they don’t have to worry about abusing a true classic survivor.
This is ALWAYS the right response.
The first Grand National I was ever exposed to, and got to ride in, was a GNX. It still gives me warm fuzzies every time I think about it. I was 17 and when the owner lit the tires up at 30mph I think my heart stopped! At the time, it wa stage fastest factory car I had ever been in, and remained that way for some time…
“a better looking Golf” is totally the point, and the reason it would have done well in the US at the expense of the GTI.
I don’t disagree, BUT if it had been sold in the US it totally would have pulled a ton of sales from the GTI like predicted.
As the former owner of a 1978 Datsun B210, HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?!?!?!?!
“like places to bolt your helmet to the roll cage...”
FWD and front based AWD don’t have the same large transmission tunnel RWD and 4WD do.
Also, since this looks like a FWD platform, the entire interior floor can be flat giving it a huge amount for cargo room compared to the FJ, 4Runner, and other Land Cruiser derivatives.
Love all the tie-down points on the interior.
Rolled into a local winery a couple weekends ago right in front of a V12 Vantage. Not only one of the most gorgeous cars on the road, but oh did it sound amazing.
I could, but I also have never spent an hour in a KFC parking lot with kids in the back seat.
“Paul Nash is too American a name for a Brit.”
I’d almost agree IF kids weren’t in the equation.
For you, 58° and sunny most of the time :)
What a funny looking snow plow?
Red Audi quattros in the snow for some reason reminds me of my childhood. Used to see them everywhere during the winter in Upstate New York in the late 80's through the 90's.
