Yeah, I also read some stuff last nite that it’s more of a reboot/reimagining, which is kind of a bummer because I figured they would’ve kept it canonical a la James Bond. Also there’s rumors that Mel Gibson makes a cameo as a character named Drifter. Should be interesting.

Yeah I remember when it was in development hell for awhile. I remember when even Mel Gibson was attached, until he decided to take a racist stroll through Malibu.

I think you’re right- it definitely can’t take place after Thunderdome, because at the end of Thunderdome, the Lost Tribe basically jump-started a new civilization, and Max is left aimlessly wandering the desert. So, I suppose Mad Max and Thunderdome serve to be book-ends, in a way, Fury Road is sandwiched somewhere

But Max did recognize him, when he first saw him, his eyes widened and he goes “You!!!”, but in retrospect, I remember now a lot of people attributing that scene of familiarity because he recognized it was the robber, but now re-watching the scene, the distance, the dust-up, the sun setting, there’s no way he could’ve

Whenever I see 2-D side-scrolling horses, I can’t help but think of...

Now playing

I was about to agree with you, when I remembered why that there is some “imaginative wiggle room”, because in the opening scene, when Max’s wagon is robbed, they don’t actually steal it until Max is well far off, still trying to get up off the ground, and the last shot before the wagon rides away, is Max running

Yeah, I looked into it abit, and there’s mention of Miller explicitly saying they’re not the same character (still looking for a direct quote), but I know there’s some debate that it’s possible that it is the same character, who left the Northern Tribe, had a child, and so on. Then again, I know Miller has a penchant

I can appreciate Thunderdome for what it was trying to be, basically, it was trying to give us another layer of lore for the Mad Max trilogy. I don’t think necessarily Tina Turner did a bad job, and I think the campy-ness was a bit more prevalent in this title, than others, but nonetheless it gave us so many iconic

Probably because you were one of the two who never left.

Leave him alone Brian, he’s just sad because he realized he doesn’t need another hero.

I’m a Mad Max fanatic. I’m really hoping their will be ties to previous movies, because aside from his car, the only other repeating character, well besides Max is The Pilot, (aka Jedediah, who was in Mad Max 2 / Road Warrior and Thunderdome). Nick Holt’s character kind of reminds me of Scrooloos, so I wonder if their

you up...

Yes, just be sure that you let them know they're being recorded and ask for their consent, otherwise they'll sue the fuck out of you (and win).

Man, and here I’ve been praying for stupid things, like not losing a friend to cancer, or not get fired from my job- all I had to do was pray for a diamond. Boy, is my face red.

Has anyone tried using other strange items like this, with now the heirloom in their inventory? Like for instance, proposing to Analise now with the heirloom with you?

Here’s another layer of intrigue. His cat’s name is “Emmy”.

Ah, typical misunderstanding. That’s so us!
