Last night I went to bed thinking about how much I’d like an older Porsche, and sure enough this morning I see this guy on BaT.
I’ve been wondering this for a while now. My wife is getting a better job and she wants to get a nicer car, at the same time my daily driver is slowly dying. I’ve convinced her to wait until my daily driver dies to buy her car.
While looking at CLK63 Black Series for sale (for fun), it dawns on me it wasn't as appreciated as it should have been. The Hammer and the Red Swine are examples of what we love from AMG; heavy cars with big engines that were brash. Overstated doesn't even begin to describe the overwrought fenders on these cars.
So last weekend I was in Austin to look at wedding venues with my fiancee (don't worry this is car related). On Friday, her brother and my mother joined us, we were driving around in my C63.
Going through my parents' medicine cabinet while visiting this weekend (may or may not have had a hangover) and found this. Dafuq? Think there's any relation to Lana Kane?
Lately I have been on a saison/brett binge. I used to be all about simple standard styled beers (good German lager or English pale ale), but over the last year I have really gotten into the funk. I still think Weihenstephaner Original is the best beer overall, but my favorite to drink lately is Tank 7.
Ever see something online that makes you just stop and wonder what body parts you could live without? (Also, do we really need food? I've been hearing about this breatharian thing a bit lately)
Apparently Lotus wanted Schumi to drive for them for the last two races this year to replace injured Finnish master-mumbler and bumbler Kimi Räikkönen (did I get that right? His last name has more umlauts than the entire German language).
So I still have an extra 3-day pass for next weekend's USGP. I didn't want to try and sell them before I had the tickets in hand, which I only got on Friday. My fiance ended up having to work, so she can't join me and my father.
Last year me and my father missed out on tickets until it was too late (or too expensive), so this year we were on top of our game and ordered early (still waiting for them to get shipped to us though).
So with all of the discussion on how much power the new M3/4 will have, I got bored and made a chart for us.
Sorry everyone, need to vent.
Anyone else having issues viewing any of the Gawker Media sites on their smartphone? The pages will load but most of the time none of the images will. It feels strange reading Jalopnik sometimes when the pictures are integral to the story.
Anyone else up for the first reasonably timed race of the season?
I really like these shoes from Puma, but goddammit I don't want them to say Mercedes-AMG on the side or have the damn symbol on the back!
Legendary Formula 1 driver thinks that women don't have the "mental skills" to drive in Formula 1. Pretty sad to hear him say this, hopefully a woman will prove him wrong soon.
So this is a weird situation I got myself in to today. I was driving home from work (45 miles commute) going about 72 in a 65. This road people normally go about 80, and some mornings I have passed parked cops going 70, so I thought nothing of it (288 south of Houston for those of you in the area). Let me break down…
Yesterday my girlfriend's father asked me to take a look at the tires on his 2003 Corvette. I noticed that the rears and the front right all looked to be in good condition, but strangely the front left was heavily worn. By this I mean the 3 good ones looked to have another 15k on them, while the bad one maybe 1k.
