WTF This list is missing so many!
Dude, The Commuter is head-and-shoulders the best episode of this series.
Last weekend, Amazon started streaming Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams, a new TV anthology series based on short…
Seriously, can someone less emotional and maybe a little more objective start reviewing Discovery? You know, someone who can actually discuss pros and cons of an episode without having a meltdown? Maybe a review like this - https://www.avclub.com/burnham-meets-the-emperor-and-discovery-finds-a-new-gro-1822278505
RE7 Madhouse was by far the highlight for me.
It was a dramatic and awful rebuke of the sort of moral core Star Trek has prided itself on for decades, and a low point for the series.
Even taken on pure technical terms, I refuse to accept that Last Jedi deserves a spot over Blade Runner.
Stuff I liked:
I am pretty sure I hated this movie. There were so many things in there that wasn’t Star Wars and didn’t feel like Star Wars. The Matrix Style slow motion ducking under the lightsaber, Luke brushing his shoulders off, the reach out and Luke ticking Rey with a leaf. The your mom joke. Leia’s Mary Poppins/Superman float…
THIS NEWS PLEASES DOCTOR DOOM

Zod’s convictions were such that it left only one option, and it was shown in the moment Clark’s…
“It’s a far cry from his city-levelling scrap with Zod in Man of Steel.”
Sometimes io9 has to go out of it’s way to be snarky and dismissive of Discovery. I’m confused as to why this it feels so far fetched for Michael Burnham to become a captain in a fictional universe known for forgiving law breakers that it merits an article.
John, John... relax.
Again, the show is not “running away from the original series”, it’s engaging with its flaws. The things you keep pointing out as problems are features, not bugs. You are supposed to wonder how the Federation can be the bastion of goodness and righteousness and harmony, because (take it from me as someone who is…
I am just enjoying it every week on it’s own being perfectly content.
Oh right, I forgot that HotS is still around.
She looks like a guest appearance from Battleborne.
I swear to god, the smash community are the rick and morty fans of fighting games.
