Truly, since fascists are by their very nature not the sort to compromise, they probably feel this is absolutely being said directly to them.

I’ve seen both versions of Highlander 2 and can definitely say the Renegade Version is better.... but that still doesn’t mean it’s particularly good. It just goes from an incoherent mess filled with weak story and hammy acting to a slightly more coherent mess filled with weak story and hammy acting.

Safe bet he’d be a Force Ghost anyway, which should make the de- aging a lot easier to believe.

I’m actually enjoying it for the most part as well.

I will point out that only some of the MAX titles were canon- or more accurately canonized. Alias was, I think at least parts of Punisher were, Luke Cage and Fury definitely were not...

Honestly the best part of the Ellis run would be Shalvey’s artwork. So if they can translate that visual esthetic, then it’s a good start.

I liked the bit in World War Z (the book) where it’s explained that an Army vs Zombie Horde scenario went as bad as it did because soldiers aren’t trained to shoot at the head, but center of mass. And are certainly not trained to deal with what happens when your target doesn’t stop despite having been blown in half by

“Cancel culture” seems to consist of two things: 1) people legitimately pointing out messed up behaviour that’s been going on for years and 2) people gleefully piling onto people for small slights, often without considering the possibility of change and redemption.

That’s been the clear difference between DC and Marvel. DC seems to want every character to be dark, brooding and violent, like Batman. Marvel has actually asked the question “Why do Iron Man fans like Iron Man?” followed by “Why do Captain America fans like Captain America?” and so forth. The closest they seem to

Prosperity Gospel makes moneychangers in the Temple look like a mild annoyance. Jesus might not actually kill anyone but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him pick a up a weapon before putting it down.

Hate to break it to you, but just because you don’t like a movie doesn’t follow that the movie will be a commercial failure. Warner clearly disagrees with your assessment of the situation, and theirs is the opinion that matters. Not yours.

To a lot of studios, whether or not a movie is good is irrelevant. Whether or not it makes money is what matters. Movies that make money get sequels because those sequels also make money. What you or I think about a given film is not part of that calculation.

There’s no particular reason Arishem’s presence in this film as well as in an eons- passed flashback in Guardians tells us anything about when this film (or that scene) is set- the Eternals are capable of living for millenia, and the Celestials are even more long- lived than that. It could be a scene set 20,000 years a

I think it’s safe to say that the film was inspired by the lyric (or the same thing as the lyric) “life is what happens while you make other plans”

It would appear Gilgamesh is a “build your own” figure. You have to buy all the others to complete Gilgamesh, because Thena gets you the head, Ikarus the left arm, etc... A gimmick I thought had been abandoned years ago due to it’s sheer stupidity, but apparently I’m not in toy marketing for a very good reason.

Why would it even matter if she was Latina? Doesn’t change the obvious reason why she suspected that this particular child had her phone.

Since the number of stories where the heroes die is somewhere under 0.0001%, I don’t buy the “suspense” argument about prequels. Yes the hero wins. You’ve known the hero was going to win going into nearly every story you’ve ever been told, and prequels don’t really change this.

That’s what I was thinking: haven’t we seen this concept a bunch of times in recent years, usually resulting in really bad stories?
