Not “astmatic,” “asthmatic”.

Which you would not want to use on your traditional down gear, as it will just mat up the down, not work like the manufacturer’s Down-Tek-type treatments.

The article said to imagine what you’d do if you’d fallen in a lake. Being a Boy Scout leader (motto is Be Prepared) I didn’t imagine a scenario of not having a change of clothes (at least a spare base layer). So my answer was: strip the wet clothes off, do some fast pushups to get the body pumping heat (and maybe dry

Any synthetic or wool fabrics are “warm when wet,” because they’re hydrophobic (water-hating) and push the moisture away from the heat source (your body) and providing insulation. Cotton and down are hydrophilic (water-loving) and hold the moisture next to your skin, cooling you. The fairly new hybrid, Down-tek, is

I’ve found CrashPlan works very well as my off-site backup destination. It’s set-and-forget. I’m lucky enough to be able to push all my backup files to a remote computer for free (@ work), so I don’t even have to pay for the service.

Clearly they are hip and we are not.

Somehow “Comic Con,” “girlfriend” and “naked” don’t seem to go together in my brain. Are you sure you’re not remembering a script from The Big Bang Theory? ;-)

You rock!

As you said, Benadryl, not just for Wiley (I assume that’s your dog?), but in case you get stung by bees and start to swell up. I’d probably add your favorite NSAID (mine’s Advil) for aches and pain.

I’ve had decent luck with a cartridge since my southern hair is finer than that on my face. I shave that in the shower, using conditioner instead of soap. Always do the first cuts in the direction of the hair growth with a very light grip on the razor, same as you would on your face. Only when it’s pretty well done

I’ve used an electric for years because the blades always chopped up my face, especially my chin. I started with an old safety razor and moved up to cartridges with up to 5 blades. While the latter got my face smooth, I’d invariably get tender spots around my mouth where the hair is very coarse. That’s the same reason

What’s the point of an article that’s nothing but a link, and a vague one at that?

Or at least a serious amateur photographer with a critical eye who knows what to look for.

Yeah, the monitor I’m using here at work is crap. But I can still see some diffs in the sunset shots.

Yes, more MP means you can crop tighter and conceivably get the same result quality. But, as the samples above show, the improvements in low-light and dynamic range produce much better photos than simply letting you crop more. The quality of the panoramic mode is phenomenal, which you might think is simply due to

Converting it into a form that runs your car, truck, house, etc. isn’t free. But it’s getting cheaper for sure!

Bummer that this great price expired. The current Amazon.com price is $52.13

The other problem I see with this device is that many partial- and full-quads I’ve worked with, who would really benefit from the hands-free feature, don’t have great balance. And it might be a challenge on anything but even, level surfaces where you can normally sit up straight.

I try not to reply to troll-like threads, but just couldn’t resist here.

Wes, you said:
