I think HEMA is really cool (way better than LARP if Im being honest) but one of my main problems with it is that much of it uses more point-strikes, like some versions of Karate, than MMA. I haven’t played it yet but it seems like a lot of elements in the gameplay that doesn’t just revolve around its conceptual design. You have to tag and explore in order to move on to the center of the galaxy. The elements of flying and tagging and shooting all seem pretty solid…
