Excellent article, for those of us who still work on our vehicles, I always look to learn something from each write up. Very neat and well organized.

Yep, this is some interesting writing. Perhaps we can check to see if gasoline is flammable, or if the sun rises in the east.
And don’t forget Dr. Trammell and the safety team that was at every race, just like the Safety Safari in NHRA.
I’m with you on that, what an incredible era of open wheel racing. A lot of the old cars ran in the European Boss series after Champ Car went away.
And there was also Gonzalo Rodriguez in a Penske at Laguna Seca in 1999, followed by Greg Moore a few weeks later in Ontario.
Just buy it, it’s not that horrible. And as stated in a previous post, once you have kids, game over for awhile. Plus it’s a Golden Eagle package. I would drive those on the lot when they were new at my friend’s Jeep dealership. Shot, now I’m talking myself into buying this.
I would buy the Golden Eagle!
I commute home from Anchorage on the jumpseat of a 747, man, it makes a 600,000 pound take-off look easy. I know that’s well below MGTOW, but still. And then cruise at around .84 mach. What a machine.
Matt, listen to Silas Van, that is excellent advice for traveling Alaska. I spend 6 weeks a year working in Alaska, you will be amazed. Also, I didn’t believe the mosquito stories, until I got there, honestly they should have “N” numbers on them, like little airplanes.
Nice truck, and I know what you mean, my 70 short bed F-100 looks miniscule compared to my neighbors brand new F-150. It’s quite ridiculous.
People like DeMuro and Tyler Hoover, oh and lets us not forget Tavarish. All of them praise the virtues of older high mileage European cars. Look, I’m guilty as well, but I work on all my stuff and I’m too cheap to buy a new car.
Well said.
This has been out for about a year. Perhaps the buyer should have researched what he was buying.
Holy crap, who designed this? George Barris ? It’s that ugly
Hopefully the car gets the needed attention it deserves.
My friend called me when he saw that the trips were”green”, meaning you could drop a trip. This never happens, ever. For any pilot here will tell you, to see a scheduler screw up, (or scheduling program) makes you chuckle a bit. I doubt that this will be as bad as it looks right now.
Nice find, is that an old Alpine head unit?
You are one-hundred percent correct, my TDI Jetta headliner was shot after 5 years, i just bought the materials and it was done. Although, when guys like DeMuro and Hoover have a million followers and they can’t turn a screwdriver, well, DIY won’t be high on people’s list.
There was an older guy who lived near me in the late seventies back in W. PA. He had two Yenko Stinger Corvairs that he would autocross. Man, it was entertaining to watch. Lots of oversteer.
Yep, I bought mine on eBay. They were from a seller in Latvia, the fit well and work great. Three years and no issues.
