I haven’t had a chance to get out yet, and don’t have much money. I don’t think I will be very lucky when I look a couple of places later tonight.

I was thinking about getting something, but I decided to pass on the Black Series figures, Figuarts will come out with theirs soon enough which are much nicer (though more expensive of course) and Hot Toys has their 1/6th scale figures, so I decided to just ignore the cheaper ones for now. BTW the Hot Toys Manalorian Read more

I know it’s intentional, but it bothers me that the north shore of Amity Island is on Cape Cod Bay and the south shore is on Nantucket Sound.  That’s impossible!

My only, ONLY regret for this hobby was missing out on the Olly Moss Star Wars Trilogy set, and Tyler Stout’s Trilogy set.  The prices for those would have paid for a third of the value of my flipping WRX!

Hobbies are weird. If its yer’s, its worth losing the mortgage and selling yer kids for. If its someone else’s, its just a creepy, expensive obsession.

Thanks for the excellent write up! I wasn’t able to go this year, but MondoCon 3 was one of the best experiences of my life. Fellow collectors I had never met before felt like old friends and I was completely inspired and intimidated by the other artists. It’s a really special community united by a genuine passion for Read more

I got hooked into poster collecting at SXSW 2017 when I wandered into a line for the Chuck Sperry print. It’s addicting and it is fun to see Mondocon become a more stress-free experience. My passion project for the past year has been https://Poster.Tube Read more

I have questions for poster collectors, because I’d like to be one. Do you frame, and hang every print? If not, do you swap them out every so often? Keeping them flat, in map drawers, seems like a lot of trouble if you want to look at them, or even show them off to guests. I don’t mean that to sound snarky, but if it Read more

What’s the state of the rates that Mondo pays it’s artists now? Considering the popular success that drives whole conventions, their cash flow despite licensing costs must be substantial, is it still the what I’d consider exploitive system where they pay some amount but mostly on the perceived upside of artist Read more

So I’m in the new group of collectors you mentioned. My wife, 7 month son and I were there on Saturday afternoon, after driving up from Houston. And to be honest I didn’t know what to expect, I went because I loved the Batman series posters from Phantom City Creative and I wasn’t able to get some of the ones I wanted Read more

Timed Editions are the best way to beat the Ebay Flippers.

If I didn’t have a great poster buddy hook up at MondoCon for the True Enemy and Into the Spider-Verse variant prints, I definitely would have picked up both of these. Of course, I'm now fearing for my wallet and portfolio space with what's been teased for NYCC.

I was 17, and by that time I’d worn out our self-copied VHS tape of The Terminator. I grew up on Conan the Barbarian. Used to run around the yard shirtless and do the Ah-nuld scream (Yah-us-ah-us-ah!) and swing plastic swords. All the neighbors probably thought I was special. So a new Arnold movie was a no-brainer. Not Terminator, but my mom unexpectedly picked up my brother and I to see Return of the Jedi on opening day. It was the only time something like that happened.  Best day ever.
