Women get charged with "failure to protect" when men do stuff to their kids. Men almost never experience this. Rusty Yates should have been arrested for the way he treated his (now ex) wife Andrea, for example.

I did NOT put those possessive in there.
The father should be arrested as an accessory too.
You seem to think that these guys are not FULLY aware of those outcomes and would choose to avoid them if they could. In fact, punishing women is the whole point. They LIKE punishing women.
Yeah, women had no escape and many of those babies probably had no chance even if their mothers weren't over worked, underfed, and so on. The infant and maternal death rate was extraordinary.
Yes. I read about one case where a girl was raped and her miscarriage was caused by a horse kick. Numerous witnesses testified on her behalf, including more than one doctor. She was still executed.
I posted the text of the law.....and the context. There's an emphasis on "Lewd Women." They changed some of the archaic wording but it's still recognizable.
I posted the text of the law somewhere, too. Note the emphasis on "Lewd Women" ——-who are being impregnated by——-?
I posted the text of the law in another comment. It used to be that women were EXECUTED for this crime.
I found the text of the law. There's an emphasis on "Lewd Women" but apparently no one was concerned that they were reproducing by osmosis, because father's don't get a mention.
I actually dug out the text of the law in another comment. You have to tap it to reveal it.
Oh, and I should add that while it was used against poor and lower class women (and that obvious rape victims were the given no quarter) upper class women were executed as well.
I'm sorry, I've been dealing with NATIVE speakers of English who absolutely refuse to "get" it, so I thought you were one of them.
I hope that explanation made sense.
Can you translate that into English? Or break it up into more than one insanely long sentence?
Okay, you're being deliberately obtuse. And you're a rapist apologist.
Actually, for a while women were executed for this.
I actually had the luck of stumbling over the history and use of this law.
Women were executed thanks to this law and some of them were rape victims.
