I would say it’s cute that you think Iger and Kennedy are somehow worried about this so called “division” that you think exists. Are a number of Star Wars fans upset with TLJ’s story? Sure. But the idea that they’ve burned bridges and the franchise is suffering for it is narcissistic bloviating that you really only…
Officer: “Do you know why I pulled you over?”
Out there on the interwebs there’s a video of Harry Connick Jr. — I promise I’m gonna bring this around — and he’s playing piano and the crowd is clapping, but they’re clapping on the wrong beats. And so in the middle of doing jazz things to the piano he improvises and adds a single beat to one bar and when he…
James Harden is the weirdest combination of “talented on a level I struggle to understand” and “so fucking painful to watch.” Because no matter how much I try, I just cannot bring myself to actually enjoy watching a guy hold the ball and jab step/pump fake for ten seconds then either jack up a shot or drive to the…
Yao Ming has done more than anyone in trying to de-legitimize Chinese keratin-based boner culture. I’m a huge fan and surprised he hasn’t gotten an international award for his conservation efforts.
Unless it’s an Italian supercar, 12-cylinder engines almost always sound lackluster. V12 Ferrari? Awesome. V12 German luxury car, meh; you probably can’t even hear it through the mufflers and sound insulation.
good thing the flight didn’t go to South Korea instead
Someone in the airline industry please find me a cheap flight from Toronto to Tokyo. I NEED TO VISIT JAPAN, ALL THANKS TO THIS SITE !!!
As a engineer, the inefficiency, unreliability and unnecessary complication of rotary engine make me uneasy. It’s a cool concept for a one of car, or for a race car to showcase ingenuity but it does not belong in production cars. These engines are worse than regular ICEs in every single way.
In this way, Lambo’s lucky that they’re part of the VW group. Most emissions and fuel economy targets seem to be company-wide, so VM just needs to offset every Lambo VW it sells with a few electrified Jettas.
The emissions thing might not be such a big deal. In Europe they’re getting new fuel economy and emissions testing standards that are supposedly more related to real-world driving, which may not favor the turbo engines near as much as the old system. Keep in mind turbo engines aren’t really much more efficient in…
They are. No /s
I’m an engineer at a company that makes emissions-related components.
Easily my favorite Top Gear episode since probably season 10. I was so please with this one.
Yeah this series is excellent. I didnt realise how stale old top gear had gotten until I watch episode 2 of the new series with Chris and Matt in the woods and I was genuinely laughing. The cinematography is great and it’s good having some new hosts. With old top gear, you basically knew what they were going to say…
This was one of my favorite Top Gear episodes, right up there with the Vietnam Special.
It had a small bit about drifting and lots of other stuff. Japan isn’t all about drifting.
IMO this was one of TopGear’s best episodes ever - and thats since the series was rebooted early 2000s.
