You’re right, although panels on 4/4s and +4s are usually steel but that wouldn’t make much of a difference. The spare tire (or tyre, I guess) is mounted on a strong steel assembly bolted to the chassis and that took a big part of the impact.

Well the engine bay does have a good amount of space but not a lot of height (which is why the GT6 hood has a bulge for the inline 6 to fit and the Spitfire doesn’t). If you manage to shoehorn it in it could be interesting.
I’m not completely convinced by the screen, A/C controls, digital odometer and weird rear lamps on the Mini but I really like the rest (the vents look great). Actually, I think I just described a mint condition Mini with A/C pretty much, that’d be a good “summer” daily driver.
You can park that Triumph in the hood of the Caddy, what would you do to the GT6? I’m thinking just A/C, stereo, interior and nice factory restoration of the rest would do, maybe upgrade to TR6 engine w/5 speed.
Came here to say Citroen DS, that one would be awesome. Also Jaguar Mk2 but that’s been done already.
By that measure it shouldn’t even be considered a “car” but simply an object occupying a parking space; (same thing as if they’d left a couch there or a bed).
The noise, the smell, the slowness and even the smoke are a big part of the classic car ownership experience.
Oh boy, seems we have a similar masochistic taste in cars.
The Lagonda has CRT screens for it’s instruments, which makes it more amazing but also potentially a nightmare.
The way the world works is that whenever I drive my DD, which has 4 doors and a back seat I never have to carry anything or anyone in it, so at least 75% of the car is empty.
Careful viewing of the video leads me to suspect the BMW was pulled from the other side as well; there seems to be little contact between the Jeep and BMW and I’m thinking the tire from the jeep would do way more damage if the BMW had actually been pushed by it.
Well I had a suspension ball joint break once accelerating from a red light (I was 17 at the time and the car had less than 10,000 miles so I never saw it coming; ended up being from a bad repair the dealer had done).
Slow and Chill
Wait, the Willy’s has a booster? I’d never have thought it did.
Just thought about it and you’re right, need to get the ratios just right not to eat the center diff if its full time 4wd. As you say, all it’ll probably ever do is get loaded and unloaded from trailers.
Well yeah it’s not really useable, also different diameter tires front and rear won’t work well with 4x4; but it looks cool.
1. Yaris driver was definitely NOT at fault.
This idea actually makes so much sense there’s absolutely no way it’s ever going to happen. Bet a handful of the Soviet diesels currently in use over there pollute more than all of the recalled VWs.
40%? That’ll get you in jail quickly, think more around 25%
