Dammit I was just about to post the pink pig! Well done, well done.

You’re in too deep, I’d say relax the deadlines and just do a full restoration, at least when you’re done you’ll have one vehicle in good condition.
It’s a small little hatchback with many airbags, doesn’t look like the AMG model or anything. You can do stupid speeds and crash on pretty much anything, I remember my first car at 16 had 79hp and still managed to do about 110 MPH in it; also crashed it but not that bad (still own it!)
I jumped my car, broke an engine mount.
Ha! I live in Guatemala City, in rush hour it is literally faster to walk than drive, downside is you have a much higher chance of getting mugged.
This one was/is a 4 door hatch, pretty cool and I still have it!
Ok, how about ONE MILLION penalty laps?
As long as it’s not only ovals.
Not that unusual apart from the car or cows being stolen, my mom used to move cows in the back of her 1st gen Civic back in the 80's
It’s still very carlike to drive though. I truly dislike CUV’s that can’t go off road (and SUV’s that never get taken off road) so I wasn’t expecting to like it but it’s remarkably good on both roads and off them.
I know, my mom got a ‘14 Forester XT and it’s pretty good; apparently it’s the best CVT out there so I didn’t mind it either (and I’m a big proponent of saving the manuals). Only quirk is when I’m “driving by ear” and leave the RPMs steady the car keeps on gaining speed, also acceleration off the line is a bit slow…
Trust me I’ve also taken cars way beyond the roads that they were designed for, and yes sometimes there’s been consequences.
Or the other way around, Crosstrek suspension on the WRX would be awesome. For a rally machine it comes with way too little ground clearance.
I’m thinking WRX with the Crosstrek suspension, I’m sure it could be done
Not a Crosstrek but my mother’s Forester goes off road at least twice a week and it’s remarkably capable.
I like the Impreza much more but it has just way too little ground clearance and low profile tires for where I live, so I’d have to go for the Crosstrek.
I think it brakes the slipping tires, works pretty good except the first time it slams the brakes as you’re going downhill, after that it’s pretty fun to use.
I understand your way of thinking, but having something road and mildly off road capable is also sometimes useful.
With the 2 liter turbo it’d be a lot of fun
